MaRiO NeEds his OwN GuYs

this thread.
perfect example of CIS unending polarization over the "it's the players, bro" vs "it's the coaches, bro"
entertaining tho...

"Blue chip ratio" doesn't matter when half of the blue chips you signed are no longer there or are too inexperienced to contribute right away. Looking at "blue chip ratio" with no context is a pretty basic mistake.

The data is compiled from guys currently on rosters. The 2022 blue chip ratio that 247 and other sites post don't include kids you signed and are not on the roster. It's for current rosters.
Okla had a transfer qb who got hurt and plays a schedule light years harder than us … next

Lsu - transfer qb who isnt even any good also plays a schedule light years better than us…

Notre dame- biggest issue coming into the uear was qb they also lost their qb and they also play a schedule light years better than us.. next

Uf- qb was what we would call a green tree all star question mark also plays a schedule loght years better than us…

The ducks have looked better bringing in a questionable qb that has looked light years better than last years offense

Now lets look at miami

miami- plays a cupcake schedule one of the easiest schedule in program history, miami’s sos right now ranks near the 100’s we brought back a qb that was getting heisman votes

See the difference?

Class is over

Cool excuses. Can u give me any more?

They don't count former players lmao. Thinking that is the basic mistake. OBVIOUSLY there are more than one factor but blue chip ratio is by far the most important one.

yeah im pretty sure they count your Current roster

Well according to this board the 2006 roster should be considered in whether Mario runs into the line because we’ve been bad for 20 years …
Bad is an understatement. FIU didn’t win another game for 2 years after they beat Miami. Middle Tennessee hasn’t won a game either. The inept bowl record over the years is utterly mindboggling and the what makes this so bad is that in most instances that talent level is far superior to the opposing teams.

I don’t know if it’s a character issue, coaching or just plain stupidly. Outside of a year this past decade has been worst display of football one can possibly imagine from this team.

When you're installing a completely new offensive system, defensive system and culture, the Blue Chip ratio becomes irrelevant. Just because we have kids who are ranked high, doesn't mean they can play within our system. Doesn't mean they don't mentally fvck up.
Furthermore, it doesn't negate the fact that we have glaring talent deficiencies at certain important spots.

Yes you are right for sure. Mario needs a coach next to him to manage the game. Tell him when to take TO's, go for first downs, calls in the red zone, and every other important day game decision. HE IS LOST!

Lol you’re saying we need to hire a coach to teach Mario to do his job?

How much of that is player development vs player talent vs scheme vs player desire. This is the pivotal question.

Tennessee went from the 108th scoring offense in 2020 before Huepel to 7th ranked scoring offense in 2021.

You don't need three classes to see improvement.

Man tell em. These new spread type offenses are designed for young college players to pick up pretty quickly by keeping concepts, formations, plays, blocking schemes etc fairly simple. The quicker players get comfortable with it the more you can add new wrinkles to it. CFB coaches deal with constant roster turnover with the portal and a complete overhaul every 3-4 years. It's counter-intuitive to run an offensive scheme that is slow, plodding, outdated, and takes 2-3 years before players get the hang of it. CFB is not that type of world anymore.

its gna take 3 more coaching staffs to figure that out...
and by the CFB will have moved onto the next thing

****, Lincoln Reily, with the presumptive first pick in the draft in 2 years and the best WR in CFB last yr, lost to a garbage Utah team that let Anthony Richardson destroy them. bUt WhAt AbOuT uSc guyz? lmao

USC was 4-8 last year. They are 6-1 this year.

I’d take that great improvement. Unfortunately under our “big hire”, we are worse then last year.

If your “system” take multiple years to install, you have a terrible system.

And what exactly is Miami/Mario’s offensive system?

lincoln just corched his way to an L with a much more talented roster, and a vastly superior "blue chip ratio". this is what happens when you lose a game and have the better "blue chip ratio", right? you get corch in front of your name
