Makes no sense. But it is what it is. Georgia kids have a winning mindeset and their state hasnt won sh*t since the 1980s and it was ****** GA Tech that did.
Its up to the coach to DEVELOP....and if he aint playing good...find someone else that does. All that mentality, culture ...is all b.s. and coach speak. This is coming from me a former college football player albeit FCS.
Najee Harris hated the culture at Bama...said his best friends didnt play football...there were cliques..etc. He stayed to get to the league(likely got paid to stay) and gtfo there. Bama and GA arent good because of mentality...they are good because they hoard the best players in the country have 200 staff members and win which ultimately lead to guys being drafted and bandwagoners jumping aboard in recruiting to hope to do the same
. For example a kid from San diego just flipped from UCLA to UGA at RB...UCLA actually looks solid this year...he would of been a focal point there but...its like i'll just ride the UGA train....it works for some but then theres always the Braylen Ingrahamas of the world who just picked the school and it never was a fit schematically for them other than saying i committed to bama and they are then told to medically retire or hit the transfer portal by saban to free up a ship.
Did you just say that the state of Georgia "hasn't won sh*t" since the 1980's? Are we in some kind of time warp? What happened in January?
Mentality and culture isn't "b.s. and coach speak". They are real things. But if you're on the "dey get da best playas" train, take a look at Georgia's roster and current recruiting class. They aren't spending a whole lot of time in south Florida.
