We've played 3 cupcakes and one mediocre P5 team in Texas A&M. We've looked worse in every single aspect on the field even before the injuries started popping off.The offense is without Rambo and Harley from last year, lost Chaney and Citizen before the season, lost Restrepo before aTm and George before MTSU—and now Parrish is banged up, as Knighton has been.
The "regression" chatter is a bit much considering the amount of talent last year's 7-5 team has since lost going into 2022. This program can hardly afford to lose players of this caliber with such a weak-*** two-deep.
Injuries don't even explain the things we are doing schematically either, which are the main issues this year. We could have all of the players you mentioned back on the team 100% healthy and we'd still be struggling on offense because our scheme is dated and simply not good.
Add all of the players back, even bring Rambo and Harley back onto the team. Guess what? We're still going to struggle in the red zone with this play calling. We're still going to get stuffed by MTSU if we're constantly running into loaded boxes and doing nothing to counter what MTSU is doing. Unless we somehow get 5* talent at every position throughout our roster, we'll always struggle on offense with this scheme.
Some of you all really go to great lengths to excuse the **** poor coaching we've seen so far.
