YOU MEAN LIKE MANNY HAS DONE IN 3 GAMES THIS YEAR...
[/QUOTE]

What are the game management mistakes in the three games this year? There is a lot to ***** about with this team thus far but game management is pretty low on the list in my opinion.

The UF game was a toss up and the UNC and VT games were lost by incredibly slow starts in the 1Q.

This weekly discussion is a stupid one anyway b/c Mario didn't come here and isn't coming anytime soon and Manny is here and isn't leaving anytime soon.

Im not saying you're arguing for manny & I understand your point well. However my point was mario was on this staff in a time when we actually had even less of a commitment from top to bottom & HE WAS CONSIDERED AN ELITE RECRUITER. Anotherwords he knows well what it is to have one hand tied behind your back yet he still excelled with that one arm. Manny is a coach here at a time were far more committed. He has soooooooo many selling points to the program that admin has provided, from facilities that are modern & atleast up to par. Brand new dorms on campus arena, ipf etc. Am I saying it's on par with most elite programs or even close no not at all. But if you've been around our program for a minute and actually seen what we were working with u cant dispute the improvements are drastic. However manny chose to bring in a staff full of clowns who excell at nothing... evaluations lack, coaching is miserable, scheme is basic. Kids have zero compatibility with the staff, recruiting is a joke, need I go on. All he is capable of landing & keeping is projects we cant develop...My only point I was bringing up was you mention admin & changes etc. But the problem is as long as this staff is here we cant expect much better. Obviously that's all on admin. BUT that's not changing any time soon except one or two here or there. Most of them gotta go. We have nowhere to go but up.
Okay I get what you're saying, my bad.

So let me get this right. Mario gets blamed for his coaches & their decisions yet manny doesnt? Manny can get better with experience yet mario cant? Kool. Good talk. You feel free to give him whatever excuse you want. Yall fans known to do that till you just decide you wont. I know what I'm looking at though & you're in for bumpy ride if youre hoping this improves any time soon.

it was trash when he took over, and it was trash when he left. We’ll see how Cristobal does without an NFL QB to inherit.
The guy is just reloading his teams are just going to get better watch.

The guy won his conference at FIU in 2010. FIU was trash when he took over the program in 07. Mario will do well, he has a good staff, and is going to have another great class. There is a Miami commit headed ro Eugene, and I think he flips.
You are talking about Don Chaney? A buddy of mine at Belen told me that Oregon has been on him and that he’s been listening.

Sounds good....but the beating i seen UCF put on Stanford...and UCF would be middle of the road in the ACC let me know something. I stand by what i said...and most pac 12 games i watch on saturdays after drinks and smashing some chick the defenses look like utter sh*t. And thats going on YEARSSS....

I gotcha...just saying this year. In years past the ACC has been a little stronger. But it's AWFUL this year. IMO Washington, Utah, Oregon, and maybe even Arizona State would all be the 2nd best team in the ACC this year. The first 3 for sure. And then to me, the average teams out west are better than the middle of the road ACC teams this year (Cal, USC, Colorado, Washington State vs NC State, Cuse, Pitt, Duke). Either way, probably splitting hairs, they're both pretty bad but all the power ratings guys all have the ACC as the worst P5 league by a considerable margin.

3 games we shouldn’t have lost at all and beat Virginia, who didn’t deserve their ranking. I’m concerned about the defense, leadership and decision-making of the HC. The offense will get better. Randy couldn’t get a good OC and by all accounts had poor social skills, while Al & Mark chose friendship and family over the program.

Manny seemed to have recognized the impact nepotism had on the student athletes and remedied that by summarily dismissing the entire offensive staff, but then somehow repeated the mistake of both predecessors by hiring his unqualified friends—who’ve performed so poorly—that seniors quit and he was forced to reclaimed command of the defense. This, 5 games in w/ a 2-3 record after preaching the “standard” all offseason...I’ve seen enough.

Points taken, but you didn't answer my question. 6 games into Randy's tenure, we sucked and you're saying he had poor social skills and couldn't get an OC, yet you were on board with supporting him? Al & Mark chose friendship and family over the program, yet you were on board with supporting them? But what has transpired here in the first 6 games has caused you to lose interest quicker than any of those situations? I just can't see how that's possible. But it's your opinion. If you ask me, you had some sort of predisposed notions going in if what transpired with Randy wasn't as concerning in your mind as what's transpired so far with Manny.

Mario has had 5+ seasons of sample size and the guy still makes the dumbest mistakes. How does any coach make the blunder of what he did last year against Stanford? Wasn’t Manny the one last year to tell Richt not to score against FSU so they could just run out the clock?

You have a certain bias against Manny and certain staff members, which is fine because we all have bias when it comes to certain things but I’m not going to go rip into a dude 6 games into his tenure as a first year HC losing 3 games by 1 score or less

If the team blows the rest of the season and he decides not to make changes this off season like his predecessors then yes I’ll rip into the guy

MANNY VS. MARIO:

Mario is at one of the RICHEST CFB programs in America— the $ ain’t coming from U of O— it’s coming from NIKE. NIKE was basically exposed BRIBING college athletics ALL OVER AMERICA and has been able to get the story totally buried in the press... because they have $$ to buy off politicians...

Oregon’s only draw-back is being in a miserable RAIN-SOAKED and cold state.

Manny has the benefit of being in a SUNNY, BEACHY, BIKINI-FILLED environment of Miami and SOFLA.. but working for a CHEAPSKATE university that doesn’t want to spend money for a top tier program...

I think both coaches will eventually become top tier HC somewhere once they have more experience....

After all, coaches need experience just like players need it...

But they are operating out of different circumstances at the moment. Mario has the upper hand when NIKE is willing to deliver unlimited bags of cash....

Manny has a ****** staff, there is no question about it. let's see if he starts replacing them at the right time, which is NOT in the middle of his first season. that will be his true test as a leader. there are signs that he has that ability and signs that he doesn't. if he is smart, which he proclaims to be, he is already looking for replacements.
