Mario Cristobal, Your Seat is Officially Lukewarm

Could lose out and go 4-8 next season. He’d be here for 2027, lol.

But the guy sucks. All the rah rah’ing after Stanford was expected, because we have a lot of clowns on this board. I’ve been out since Syracuse last season personally, but nothing else needs to be said/done. Idc about recruiting or any of that, why should I? We can’t win with this roster so what does it matter? Dude’s a bum. I hope some of ya’ll see it now.
Aw, don't be so down @htownkidd there's still plenty of Mario slurpers and excuses to come. Don't give up now. I'll try to remember to tag you on the 1st poRst I see that says "wE sTiLl CaN mAkE tHe AcCcG/pLaYoFfS!!!!" or any variation of the coarstal is still in front of us type poRsts.

i doubt it. I just listened to him with Joe Rose in the post game and he sounded pretty down. Never actually heard him speak with that tone before...
Doubt it. I guarantee you he is going to watch this game and think that they were more aggressive and "spread/dicerse" t this game. And you know what they were! The difference is in key moments they went right back to the bs or were undisciplined. And he will put this all on Beck. I guarantee it. They're staff is going to have zero faith in Beck and put training wheels in the rest of the season guaranteed.

Yeah the time it's one of fault. Cause he failed. He isn't changing his philosophy though. The literal ONLY HOPE is next year we get an elite portal QB who is extremely aggressive by nature. That is quite literally the only hope

Bottomline is Louisville loss was bad enough but to lose to this smu team was inexplicable. Pathetic no matter what the excuses.
This was loss was foretold by many wise posters prior to the season beginning. This was NOT inexplicable it was EXPECTED and INEVITABLE. @Empirical Cane will tell you.

stop. You have to go for the win. Even if you have to try to kick a 50+ yd field goal.

You paid a fortune for Beck - give him a shot.
The playcalling in OT was pathetic. Everyone in the stadium knew exactly what was coming - another run up the middle. The pressure on 3rd down was unnecessary

I agree you take the chance, but odds are
good he throws a pick when pressured. It was a bad qb eval. The good news is unlike the pros where you a bad qb eval can set a team back 10 years, this can be fixed in offseason.

Mario could lose the remaining games and go 0-12 next year and he’s safe. Don’t even start that stuff
Agreed. Because Miami is a joke of a program.

It is the "if Mario really loved Miami, he'd quit" time of the er(ror)a

What good is talent if it’s being handcuffed

A lot of people also overestimate the talent he brings in. He is about to finish outside of the top 10 recruiting two years in a row, in years 3 and 4. He signed 1 top 100 player last year, and currently has 1 committed this year. That is legitimately God awful for someone so many consider "elite", which he is not in recruiting.

Let me just simplify this and I am beimg dead serious. Mario could bring in top 3 classes every year and we still would win nothing of signifigance because of the liability he is as a HC. That is not hyperbole, that is a sad fact.

I've seen enough players on our team flash to know we have the talent. We don't have the player development and coaching with this head coach and his leadership.

Definitely see it...I was having a great weekend out here in Houston that just took all the life out me lol. You gotta know he's not going anywhere but if you're serious about winning it's business not personal

It's hard being a prophet in Muppetlandia.

Hey, where's that pace car again? I hope it goes fast!!!

Zoom Zoom!!!

Probably Top 20 dumbest take ever on CIS. That's an accomplishment.

This is year 4-

No ACC championship or playoff spot-

With the players he has-

It’s telling he’s not a head coach -He’ll never be-

The self inflicted wounds year after year-losing to inferior talent-

Eventually he’s going to get fired-

If the team collapses in the next several games-

He needs to be fired sooner than later.

I disagree only because the teams we're losing to have way less talent we should've won today by 2 TDs easily

Don’t think LB talent will get better.

Should have got Mendoza.
Beck is a severally flawed and overrated QB. However, this loss was NOT on him. He sealed it but this loss was written LONG before OT. Dawson/Mirabal/Mario and taking the air out of the ball with slow, plodding, predictable, boneheaded playing are the issues. Sadly, there are not many QBs currently in CFB that can overcome our terrible offensive scheme.

You can say whatever you want, we DO NOT have the talent to compete with the best programs. I agree with you on your other points.

I am simply saying, he is not bringing in the top tier talent as the big boys. Not even close actually. And even if he did, he would still lose games like todays because he is the biggest bum HC in all of P4.

The self inflicted wounds year after year-losing to inferior talent-

Penalties. Especially on OL year after year. GT has a quarter of the talent but they have intelligent players and a smart coach who preaches discipline.

For me it all starts with penalties. Sometimes a team has so much talent it can work around being heavily penalized (with Ward, didn’t matter if 3rd and 3 or 3rd and 13th he was going to get the 1st down). This team isn’t talented enough to overcome penalties. And now we are missing the playoffs yet again.
