Last year's success, our recruiting success, 20+ years of misery and seeing what appears to finally be a balanced, complete roster calibrated everyone's expectations to playing/winning ring #6 this year. Injuries are the one thing that can sink those dreams fast. So, I can understand the frustration and freaking out, but, then again, some of us on this board are too old to be setting ourselves up for a coronary after just one game.

Personally, I think Bender's advice is sound: calm the ****.
OMG, how dare I suggest that we pull back on rotations and disguises because we have to play young corners due to injuries? That's uncalled for.

Like, in all seriousness, some in here should really read word for word and think what someone is typing out.

Imagine opening an injury thread voluntarily and then melting down that people are discussing injuries and possible implications.

If someone is holding a gun to your head and making you open the thread, my apologies and this doesn’t apply.

Like clockwork! SMH we lose a cornerback for a little while off the deepest room on the team and now all of a sudden the world is crumbling. Lucas, Brown and O’Connor have us folks and we will be just fine until OJ comes back. It’s like dang guys, step back from the ledge. OJ isn’t done for the year, be grateful for that.
We have the best roster we've had since 2002 and just recorded our largest conference victory since 2020, yet fans are still complaining. People need to enjoy the ride and realize how special this team is

I would expect him back by November. I think the goal is to get him back for Notre Dame. If we can make that happen, we’re in a good place. Plus, remember, young people heal fast. So we might even get them back sooner.

How do you reconcile Mario's comment about "hoping" he's back for the end of the season with expecting he'd be back for early November?

I think your expectations concerning reading and thinking in general may need to be tamped down. It almost leads me to believe excessive Bootie Pics >> alcohol when it comes to cortical degeneration. And have you seen anything over the last season that would lead you to believe our coaches are capable of adjusting to personnel?

#sarcasm

Ethan and Lucas stay healthy and we’ll be alright. Blow these teams out and get young guys reps early

Well Lucas wasnt mentioned one time in the OJ injury pod when everyone else was so you know how that goes

Bro, I’m not gonna get into the words people use when they’re in the middle of a press conference or interview. He clearly said The goal is to get him back by the end of the season and the end of the season is in the month of November. So if we can get him back by Notre Dame, then we have met that goal. I’m just happy he’s not done for the season and we will get him back eventually. I’m grateful for that.

I understand what you’re saying, but Daly isn’t a good example. Mario has always been transparent if a guy is out for the year. What he is not transparent about is any other injury.

Why is Daly not a good example?

There goes playing anything but soft zone all year...which puts more pressure on the d-line. For ***** sake
That’s not always the case. Most highly ranked CB recruits are used to playing nothing but man coverage in high school. We would likely struggle with playing more complex zones than just saying “cover that guy”.

I asked A.I. in terms of recovery time so any doctors/Therapists here, please interject.

Possible injuries per what I saw when OJ made the tackle:

If he tore his bicep:

Give this man some BPC-157 and he will be back for ND. Works wonders on the shoulder.

Bpc 157 and tb 500 are great peps. I had some nasty inflammation in my elbow forearm and shoulder from working out. I tried everything to get rid of it and did the pep for about two weeks but within a week the inflammation was gone. My buddy credits it to cutting his healing for his acl partial repair from surgery in half.
