Mario Cristobal Provides OJ Frederique Injury Update

During Mario Cristobal's Monday press conference he provided an injury update on Miami Hurricanes defensive back OJ Frederique, after playing two snaps against the Stanford Cardinal.

According to Cristobal, Frederqiue will be out for quite some time: [It's a] pretty significant injury, so he'll be down for quite a while." Cristobal did not provided a time table for when Frederique will be back.

Coming into the 2026–27 college football season, Frederique was considered the focal point of the Hurricanes' secondary. The Hurricanes next couple of games are tune-up games before they travel to Clemson. So, hopefully he gets to feeling better before the team travel in a tough environment.

This past season, Frederique played a huge role in the Hurricanes' secondary, recording a total of 19 tackles and seven pass deflections. He blew up his freshman season, totaling for 27 tackles and one interception.

Due to the injury, junior defensive back Damari Brown was inserted into the game to replace Frederqiue. This is a huge blow for the Hurricanes secondary. Now, it is time to see what player steps up in his spot.

The Hurricanes will kick off against the FAMU Rattlers this Thursday inside Hard Rock Stadium.

I would expect him back by November. I think the goal is to get him back for Notre Dame. If we can make that happen, we’re in a good place. Plus, remember, young people heal fast. So we might even get them back sooner.

That would be great, but long as he’s back for the playoff run, I can live with it. We still got plenty of talent on the back end and some good young guys that just need game reps. This defense will only get better as the year goes on. Any time you got some new faces back there making calls, such as Thornton and Fitz, which I know Fitz played last year but he’s got a lot more responsibilities with secondary calls, I’m sure. That takes time to mesh. And they will.

We have a great team. Enjoy the ride.

It isn't traceable. It's just a amino acid sequence. I know a **** ton of people who took retaglutide and lose a **** ton of weight and improved all their biomarkers. There is a peptide that is suppose to remove plaque buildup in blood vessel and to improve the health of your blood vessels. Pretty soon their will be no excuse for people to be fat or unhealthy.

You don't and you can't. Mario doesn't know when he'll be back nor does OJ. It's just a guess at this point as to when he'll be back but it'll obviously be a while.
