Mario Cristobal on Joe Rose Show 10/16

Naw chill he just open more than every other WR combined. Restrepo better be a 99 overall on Madden 25.
Not going to crap on X because his route running is what allows him to be open a lot, but yes, I won’t discount the forced throws to X by TVD when he could be looking elsewhere, especially since Young and George run some good routes themselves to get open.

Young in the redzone should be a given considering he’s 6-5. I counted less than 5 throws in which he was given a jump ball opportunity and our Red Zone offense is putrid. So why not give him a chance to make plays or our TEs

No. Based on the comments on this forum, you'd be thinking we're 0-5 with Iowas offense and Jon Richt as the OC.

I'm at a toss-up whats more annoying, this forum currently or the fact Mario didn't kneel to end the game against GT.
I thought me telling the guy he was full of **** and then sarcastically pointing out that TVD has 1200 yards and 12 TDs to guys not names Restrepo would have explained my position

I'm having a hard time seeing sarcasm right now as 90% of this forum is full of dumb ****.

There is a lot to unpack in this porst here.

Nah man he’s locking onto X 99% of the time it’s why he as 1,200 yards passing and 12 TDs to guys not named Restrepo

I hate our fans
Whats funny on the horrible Int Saturday he had X wide open at the top of the screen. I’d also say for every 10 times TVD throws to X he’s been the only wide open guy 8-9 of them. He’s the only real technician that runs routes at a high level. I also think DC’s are ok with this. Keep safeties over the top and that eliminates the other guys strengths. X needs help in the middle of the field and Arroyo would be huge.

X is great he is not 50% more targets great. That should be fair to say.

Speaking of swapping players

Continued amateur hour is consistently having 12 players on the field coming off of timeouts. Guidry… what are you doing?!?!

Who cares what that idiot has to say?

Did he explain why he preaches discipline so much, only to have one of the most brain-dead teams in the nation?

Oh wait, he we don’t need an explanation because we know Mario is a ******* troglodyte when it comes to intellect.

He preaches discipline to the players, but in two consecutive weeks, he and his staff have been hypocritically undisciplined.

We took the fastest possible approach to being out of ACC contention.
If FSU beats Duke, it will unofficially be official.

If Duke beats FSU, and we win a 17-16 barn-burner, we will officially be sucked in again.

Don't underestimate Miami's ability to implode after some hardship.

In all seriousness--I hope we win out and somehow make it to the ACCCG.

I wish we had access to the all 22. People would look so silly complaining about X lol. The guy stays open and most or all of Tvd’s forced int’s haven’t been to him. I know for sure 3 aren’t. Maybe he should take more 1v1 shots to Colbie but for the most part X is reliable and stays open. His routes and timing are impeccable. Only Cane fans would be mad at a qb throwing to wide open guys lol. Now if you want to complain about 9 and I know most here want to , he does occasionaly lock on to guys when he thinks it’s a particular coverage and doesn’t come off if he‘s wrong. Instead checking it down. GT did change coverage looks in pre and post snap and he got bit.

Someone complained about Colbie not getting enough jumpball targets. He got one later in the game and got bodied.

Comment as a result later on: "Colbie is not that good, he does not play up to his size."

Believe me I don’t, but I’ve just attributed that to us being mediocre (at best).

Since being ranked #2 in 2017 we are…
24- 30 vs p5 schools.

How’s that for a stat?

Out of all the things that’s wrong with the team this is probably the least of the teams problem. This could be fixed by getting your TEs involve, going to a 4 WR set more, and taking advantage of matchup by getting your playmakers in space. To me it looks like a coaching problem.

These people are absolutely ridiculous and beyond clueless.

The kid is open on almost every route. He never drops the ball. He's often the first read, as designed by our offensive coordinator. Should the QB not throw the ball to an open receiver who is dependable catching the ball when he's the first-read? I'd bench the kid for NOT throwing to an open receiver if he's your first-read.

We have no home field advantage; it literally may be a disadvantage to play there to play there.
Disagree ... all it takes is 45,000-50,000 UM fans in the seats ... and it IS a home field advantage. Really noisy. Mario **** the bed big time with the crappy "no kneel" game ... hope fans recover enough to show up on Saturday for Clemson.
