Mario called out the team

Didn't we hit two pass plays of like 110 yards combined for 2 TDs in the first 3 mins of the 2nd half?

Didn't Tyler have the most passing yards per game of any QB in the country over the UNC/VT weeks?

We are somewhere around a 58/42 called pass to called run ratio on the season

all this talk all over this board about how our coach is a neanderthal that only wants to establish the run and yet there's literally zero evidence of it so far

Our first drive was 7 called passes to 3 runs (1 of which was the 4th and 1 with 11)

We didn't have a drive with more runs than passes until Garcia's first drive after the TVD injury

gattis is absolutely clueless in scheming plays for "situational downs" ie RZ and short yardage but everyone acting like we are calling games like 2014 Wisconsin is really weird

You know what is wild.. I spent all yesterday mad at everyone and everything because I can't pinpoint what the problem is on this football team. I was miserable.. but I wake up today, and somehow drag myself to be excited for more Canes football next Saturday. I'm living in a constant **** of torture and ridicule. But I'll be back next saturday, no matter what. #GoCanes

The reporter literally stated that Mario’s comment coming out of the locker room at halftime was that they need to establish the run. His words. And going into half, down double digits, the dude burned up the clock with that take your time run game.

Gattis May be awful but he’s doing what Mario hired him to do so Mario is awful too. And the players - yeah they aren’t playing well either.

We can only hope the HC has an epiphany.

If you look back at Mario's career as a head coach, there is also no evidence for this claim. His OC's are all over the map and his run : pass ratios, too, all over the map.

Also, they already changed the offense pretty dramatically to get something out of TVD after the miserable start to the season and completely abandon the run game.

I'm saying why is he crying, he should have went back at gattis to prove him wrong or say something to his face if this story is even correct. But parent should tell him to come home then

Yup. I didn't even have the energy to think about those UVag and GT games. Pretty much just based my "probable" scenario on what Vegas will agree with right now but your scenario wouldn't surprise me either. Nothing would at this point.

Doesn’t change the fact he can share that info with his parent. That’s normal. Like I said the response is what really matters.

I always tell me son to tighten up and get right. Coach could be trippin but he also could be right. Go look at the numbers

great idea to sit guys however we have no depth...... why do think DJ Ivey still plays? or C.Flagg
no depth and not all that much difference making talent.
hit the portal 10-15 guys who want to win games and championships, not prep for NFL
keep HS class together , recruit leaders and emphasize character ..... we need some dogs
hire an OC that will put in a system that is uptempo and gets players in space to make plays, let OC manage clock and Red zone O
CMC need to be CEO of program Recruit and build proper culture .......

We can debate x's and o's for the next 15 years of mediocrity and there's definitely merit in that discourse but an even bigger sauce of my never-ending angst is that we're just as fundamentally unsound as we've EVER been. We can't tackle, we can't protect the ball, we can't do ****.

Bill Walsh and Bill Belichick in their primes as offensive and defensive minds couldn't scheme their way out of that ineptitude at the basic level. THAT'S my biggest concern about Mario so far. That stuff should've been fixed all off-season. I don't care what quality of roster he may or may not have inherited. That's basic football and basic coaching.
