Mario built this Oregon team or did he?

I not even a Mario defender but do y’all ever fact check what you say or just make stuff up to support your half back argument.

pac-12 in 2021-2022
2 - teams with 10+ wins
2 team with 8 wins.

Pac 12 this year
2 teams with 10+ wins
2 teams with 8 wins.
They'll go to great lengths to discredit Mario. Lol

If Mario starts to win they'll be hanging off his left nut with praise. Crazy times we're living in. Lol

It’s not just who they have beaten — it’s the margins. They are annihilating teams that Mario was in dog fights with last year. That’s the sign of a well-coached team. You shouldn’t play down to your competition and we do that more than we don’t.

The one thing I will give Mario credit for is, he usually gets his team up for the big games. We played our best football against are toughest opponents this year — A&M, FSU, UL. I just wish we weren’t struggling against the GTs of the world. He did that at Oregon, too, with big wins against schools like Ohio State.

So am I wrong to say that if you win by 1 or 100 its still a win? Lol at Lanning winning by 100 and can't get one dang banner, yet Mario can win by 1 and get 4 banners.
No I'm not saying anything about any of the other years I'm talking this year only. Alot of the production on that team comes from guys Lanning brought in and thats just the facts when alot of people on this board will have you believing otherwise. I don't see how that discredits Mario, he won two pac 12 titles there. Key words in the title of the thread "this Oregon team"

And Lanning still aint won nothing, cant beat Washington and could never beat Ohio State in Columbus.

Oregon was nothing until Mario built that program.

You do realize Lanning is 0-1 against ranked teams this year? The ACC is a much tougher conference than the PAC.

U do realize this is false, correct. lol.

They smoked a then #19th ranked CU, and then proceeded to smoke a then #13th ranked Utah. He’s 2-1 against the top 25 opponents this season.

The PAC-12 combined record thus far: 78-56 (.582)
The ACC combined record thus far: 89-66 (.574)

Smh

PAC 12 has had a difficult schedule as a whole for the conference.

Utah, Colorado, Stanford, Arizona State, and WA got the worst of it.

Oregon's schedule falls on the easier side, close to FSU. I'm not taking anything away from them because they (IMO) are a very good team.

This is a little off-topic, but people were complaining that FSU shouldn't have been jumped in the rankings, but WA deserves more than them to be in the top 4. They would have gotten smashed in the playoffs anyways IF they won out with a healthy Travis.

The truth is in the middle. Mario left Oregon in a much better place with talent than anytime in the programs history. Most coaches first gigs are after coaches were fired and they’re taking over a mess. That job was very much appealing for Lanning. But Lanning did take the roster and production on field to another level than Mario. Ironically the defensive coach solved all the holes with the offense , bringing in a good OC and qb.
If this was true lanning would not have purged the roster after year 1. He left a good foundation but much better than anytime is absurd lol

I think we forget how good oregon has been the last 10-15 years, chip left way better talent. Oregon has been a program that u can use as a stepping stone to wherever u wanna go

Lanning doesn’t touch that job if it’s not in the position Mario put it in. For all y’all that want to discredit the man even for stuff he did well go look at Oregons recruiting classes before Mario. You’ll be shocked by what you see. It’s funny all that Phil Knight money wasn’t getting top classes before Mario arrived.

There’s a reason Mario got that job when he did, it was in bad shape and it wasn’t nearly attractive as it was when he left. Since Chip the program was non existent. Chip was a freak occurrence of a new , innovative scheme making up for recruiting / talent which eventually fizzled out. Kinda like Sourrier who was miles ahead of the Sec when he arrived.

If you want to crqp on Mario there’s enough in game stuff to fill your time but the Oregon stuff is just pathetic. It’s very easy to see where it was before and after he arrived. If people are too caught up in being ignorant that’s on them. It’s sad.

I just want to know if and when his teams at Miami are going to play with that FTW culture we see in all the top programs.

I guess it’s what’s metrics are being used, b/c this site, which imo is a bit more comprehensive, breaks down SOS a bit more in detail.

This is what i hate about our fans, on here and on twitter. They will be ****ed at Cristobal being terrible on gameday, so if u say something positive that he actually done which has been proven, they try to cr@p on it, like what he was doing at Oregon. If u are mad at one thing u have to be mad at everything.

What Chip did sounds a bit like what Schnelly did - catch the CFB world by surprise with a pro style offense and speed.

Nice to know the Noles got leaped. I'm gonna check the polls now and smile.

(Noticed Miami (OH) and A&M getting Top 25 votes)

To be fair the turnaround started under Taggart and Mario was on his staff. Oregon was 4-8 the year before Taggart. Taggart went 7-5 (Mario took over for the bowl game and lost).
