Marcus Clarke Latest

I’ve worked with Edgewater high which is a rival to Winter Park, and let me tell you... this kid is a 5-star player. When I watched he was definitely elite out there. I recorded stringer videos him while recording for an Edgewater high player. He mostly played WR, sparingly, and was a kickoff specialist. However, last year he got on the field as a Safety and WR. He has tremendous speed and can cover like the elites. The only thing he’ll have to work on is his aggressive to tackle— like most WR turned CB. During the games he is a sure ankle tackler machine lol. He has the physical stature of a college ready CB. I think Miami is one of the very few schools recruiting him as a CB. So only if he choose to play WR is why I don’t see him being a cane.

He has offers from Georgia, FSU, Tennessee and Ole Miss. Not sure how under the radar he is. His ranking is obviously disconnected from his numbers and offer list, though. He won’t be ranked that low the whole season.

Again listed offers means nothing nowadays...No reflection on Clarke, I don't mind him. Just saying.

Can K. Pointer, J. Pough, W. Neal, K.Wright, J. Royal (new "offer so no idea), etc, etc, etc...All commit to UM?

Love this kids film. He has the ability to take a pick to the house every time.
Such an underrated DB quality. That’s why I like when they play wide out also. Christian Williams player some wide our also and could take it all the way back. But back in the day our DBs housed it all day. Buchanon, reed and Sean T. Elite with the ball

Kid is big time. Just toying with people with his speed.

I only caught one play where you could see him flip his hips and you can see why we want him at CB.

Recruiting is on point right now. Imagine what a big season would bring. Best case is we go undefeated till the ACCCG, and win our bowl. Start next year with two major recruits early (my guess is Garcia and Sapp/Taylor/Williams and we challenge for top 3 recruiting and AP polls next year.

That would be the golden season, no pun intended, if we ran shotgun over our regular season, beating UFag and FSpew, losing to Clemson (hopefully but only 10pts), and then winning a NY6 matchup bowl game. I’d gladly take it, and it would be one to ensure the integrity of the commitments we have received thus far remain intact but I’m thinking we’ll have a hiccup or 2 along the way during the 2019 season, going 10-2 before we meet up with Clemson. Still, as long as we go toe to toe with the Tigers for several quarters before ultimately falling, AND win our bowl game; we should be able to secure the services of Clarke and others. That would/could make our class Top 5, and show that Manny is moving the needle in the proper direction. We duplicate that record, or better, in 2020, we will post 3 Top 10 classes since 2018. That’s enough to start the turnaround against the Bama’s and Clemson’s of college football

My type of corner prospect. Feet, feet, feet. Acceleration. Looks like good awareness.

It goes understated how much we've suffered from the bad break of losing Malek Young, who'd likely be a Senior shutdown corner right about now. I know Rumph likes guys in his mold (i despise when former players overemphasize this strategy), but we should continue to pick up the other type a couple times a year, too. We got Couch this past year, for example.
This is exactly how I feel and I prefer to have a CB with great feet and shadow ability over length any day BUT I have to say I do like Rumphs reasoning. He said he likes to take those guys because the NCAA hasn't adjusted yet and they can still be physical with receivers 5+ yards down field and it honestly feels like a loophole to just have big physical guys that can bully receivers on the outside

Sign this kid as an athlete and let him start out wherever he wants.

He looks to be a bit of a short strider, similar to Hester. Good for balance, acceleration, change of pace, cuts ... i.e., football speed - but probably holds down his 40 time a bit. In a few years, with some training, his 40 will be just where it needs to be.

Agreed;

Pls don’t force this kid in to one position or another. Sign him as an athlete.

This dude has speed on top of speed, and what I look for w speedsters is how fast can they reaccelerate when contact is made. This dude regains and reestablishes speed immediately. Plus, when a DB had an angle on him, he used str8 line speed to smoke him.

He’ll be pushing for a low four star. He’s already got big boy school offers, so he’ll be kept an eye upon from recruiting services.

Just get him here by any means
