That’s what I’m talk about. CIS soldiers on the ground, scouting these kids.

He does run track. I love them multi sport stars. He does look physical. Almost like he could compete with Jamal Carter for targeting hits lol.

Maybe it’s just his highlight reel. It just didn’t pop for me. I’m willing to give this staff the benefit. We have an army now for an eval team compared to the bargain skeleton crew we’ve been working with for so many years.

You can still be a 2 Down LB in college, the DC just needs to be smart about it.

I cant gage the kid or evaluate him from that film. His speed is another issue deciphering because he’s so long. His 100 times are ok, nothing great or bad. He gets from sideline to sideline pretty well and is a striker when he arrives. Punishing people. He’s definitely a good blitzer, physical and is built like a tank. He looks the part , I just can’t get a good read on him as a player from that tape. I’d like to see him live.

I almost never weigh in on evaluating because one - it’s not my job or expertise per se and two - anyone can make video shine or make it look bad without right angle.

That said I can also see the basics like almost of you can just from being psychos and I’m not super excited here. I call a Flagg on this play. 🙃

So.. he's a defensive fullback?

Sounds more like something you'd want to sign out of the portal on year to year basis, depending on need.

I know that not everyone will be an every down player. But shouldn't that always be the goal? Specialist is the kinda thing you come to terms with after they've been on campus for a year or two.

Scouting can be so difficult without real game film and actually getting to talk to the recruit. A recruits mental makeup is so important, that’s why you see so many highly ranked players who don’t have that drive in them fail while underrated recruits that actually have that dog in them become all conference players.
