****, I'll take 9 wins that include us beating UNC and FSU by 21+. Then tac on a bowl win to get me to 10. Baby steps.

Miami has money, yes even after the Pandemic we have enough to bring in good coaches on the staff, the reason why Diaz stuck with his guys is because they’re his guys & he didn’t want to go away from his Defense.

This is squarely on Diaz, not lack of resources, or even because some coaches allegedly didn’t wanna come here, any excuse made is 1,000% bullshìt.

We didn’t get a new DC because Diaz didn’t want one, he believes his Defense is not the problem & he doesn’t want to concede that the way his system is ran has major flaws in it.

This is where we're at. Last season, we kept hearing that once we have a great OC, we're going undefeated, bro!

We brought in a top 10 QB coupled with Lashlee who's a solid OC. Then, the defense regressed significantly. If Diaz can't see that the people he hired to do their jobs, actually can't do it, and he won't take action on it - that's on him and he should be fired after next season.

Listen man we would all want to go out the way we THOUGHT was the best to handle something. Manny reached out to the guys he thought could do the job and didn't land on any of them so he said well I will do it, rather than letting his boy continue to. I don't think him calling places was his first or second choice but its the lesser of the evils over Baker.
So no we sit back and wait. He fails its on him and he has nobody else he can point the finger at.
 
At least now we have an answer to the question. The question every intelligent Canes fan had this offseason was is Manny the type to put aside his pride and scrap what is an obviously flawed system?

Not only is he not going to scrap it, he's going to call it himself so it's run exactly the way he wants it.

So now, you better win 10 games and have a strong showing in the ACCCG or the banners will be circling all over Miami airspace. He's basically dug out his burial plot and now we're just waiting to see if he leans too far over the edge and falls into it.

Sounds like Manny told Rumph to stay work on his weaknesses (recruiting) and maybe in the future he gets back to coaching if he improves that part.
 
And why the **** is Rumph even retained especially for a recruiting role? The main thing he can’t do is recruit? Is this to appease the alumni? **** them. Dude is trash in every sense of the word. Baker, Patke, and Rumph shouldn’t be around right now. Neither can coach or recruit worth a ****. So ready for everything to start over again. Then again, we’re stuck with a dumb **** making the hirings so it really doesn’t matter.

That's why I was asking for clarification. I've seen it work multiple times on the offensive side of the ball. Defense? Nope.
