Manny Navarro's interview with TVD

I posted about this a few weeks ago. Not a fan either, don't see any leadership qualities. Should have told Bama and ND **** off publicy if he was a real hard core Cane and rallied his teammates behind him for life. I bet those 2001 - 2002 Canes would follow Dorsey into ****.

Careful bro, people will tell you to **** off because you have a different view

I'm not really a fan of TVD. Even if we all agree Gattis sucked, TVD made some absolutely horrible decisions and throws all season last year. Then you add he apparently had basically horrible relationships with the WRs, and generally likely wasn't putting as much work in as a QB1 should be. Then you add what he pulled this offseason basically threatening to leave... AND in this interview you have him refusing Crisotbals request to meet with some OCs? Like what...

Anyways I'm hopeful he'll have a season better than he had in 2021, then he'll get drafted and we get someone who is a far better leader and more talented in the Portal.

I've read that article with quotes from an upperclassmen "leader" every offseason for the last 15 years. More camaraderie. Hoping to handle adversity better. The only thing different is this time we know the quoted player was on his own type of BS in the offseason. Makes me all warm and fuzzy about the season.

If he was a big league player, I can understand the play.

A player of his caliber doesn’t get to pull big **** moves like that when the school is trying to close on transfer portal targets.

So, if I was in his position, I would’ve not done what he did.
He’s a big league player in every coaching circle I’ve been around and most other places except this fan base. Y’all gotta stop letting y’all personal bias creep in cause y’all don’t like his lack of leadership intangibles. I’m not trying to offend you but you have a way of making things entirely personal lol

Leadership intangibles is a fairly big box for a QB to check….

And a LOT of posters here take things personally or insert bias into their takes…

I personally feel like TVD will be a huge asset to us this year. And it’s a big deal to have Bama try to recruit you away after they’ve been putting so many guys including QBs in the league. So I give the young man a hall pass on this one. He’s going to be a great one for us this season, I believe.

That said Miami should never be in the position where its starting QB has that much leverage over the program. Wright, Harris, Kaaya now TVD. When you have no competition at QB it screws everything up. It’s a recipe for prima donna behavior and let’s face it TVD was a mess last season. Thank god DEriq King was such a leader, hope some of that rubbed off on TVD now that he doesn’t have Gattass putting pubic hairs in his spaghetti.

We need a real QB room desperately.

Big league player?

Ok. What about him was big league in 2022?

I see a guy who is a marginal college QB thats had a difficult time coming off his initial read to make throws under duress.

That’s what winning QB’s do.
