Manny (likely) staying (through the end of season, TBD thereafter)

I'll play devils advocate just to raise everyones blood pressure.

Ok we lost to the #2 and #3. Just outclassed and outplayed, but we had a 30% healthy QB. UVA we had a RS QB in his first start. Just a bad break, we are a chip shot FG away from being in the driver's seat in the ACC coastal. UNC, road loss, were on brink of winning the game on the final possession. Then two wins over ranked teams.

We haven't lost the division yet, that's why all the teams play more than two conference games. Over a span of 10 conference games or so, the fluke wins and losses will average out and the team that was actually the best in the division will end up with the best record. UM can still win the division and the ACC. Whether you are 6-2 and then lose 2 of the next 4 to finish 8-4 or are 4-4 and win 4 straight to finish 8-4, the end result is the same. This is the point of the season where teams wilt. If UM, with all its injuries, manages to reel of 4 straight Ws, wins the conference and a NY6 game and finish ranked in the top 10, Diaz would have managed to secure the best season in almost 15 years (would definitely be a better end result than 2017). Is it likely? Not remotely. BUT if it does happen, then I for one will do a slow clap for Diaz as I certainly did not see that coming.
I think it's a matter of too little, too late, but it will make finding another job easier. That's the benefit of letting him finish the season.

Also, Mario's buyout drops. If you know he's the guy and it's gonna happen, there's no reason to do anything but fire Snake James before Jan 15.

So, if Manny wins regular season out. 8-4.

Faces WF for ACC, and wins. 9-4.

Faces a solid team in a NY6 bowl as ACC champion, 10-4

Sells to BOT, my losses were to two top 3 teams currently, and a game where my Fr QB was essentially making his first start.

10 - 4 ACC Champions, losses to two playoff teams, and Fr QB making first real start.

Hypothetically speaking, yall still want him fired? Think about what those final 6 games entail as well, dont keep your mind on 4-4 thoughts.

Just curios about these answers lol.
Cross that bridge if we get there. Not very likely. Would be impressive and would definitely show that he has the team behind him. I would want that to be derailed. But he is Manny and Manny will pull a Manny when Manny usually does.

If he pulls a top 5-10 recruiting class by pulling this off…maybe. Don’t know if that’s at all possible, even with portal math involved.

Yes. You forgot that he is WINLESS coming off of bye weeks (that give you time to prepare). Same thought, hasn’t won a bowl game as head coach which also takes into account time off to prepare. He is not able to get prepared for competition (lost to UF, lost to Bama, both to start the season, but we did win the opener against UAB last year). after time off to prepare in the summer time too.

No way he wins out with a bowl game in the schedule since there is time off in between season and the game. And if there is more than 7 days to prepare for the ACCCG, he won’t win either. We’re fine. Next!
Darnit! CorniceCane I forgot the "bye week" issues.

Please forgive me, there was simply wayyyy to much to remember :ROFLMAO:

Ahmmon last nite ripped the program to shreds, from top to bottom. From easy practices to allowing their stud WR to have to hobble around campus on crutches… just tore it down.

But yea, give manny another year because the kids must love him cause they playing hard
Where can I find this?

I’ve mentioned the practices being a joke and hinted some other things, then some posters acted like I was a conspiracy theorist. Right down to how kings injury was handled. **** there’s a lot more drama going than what I post. When I say it’s a complete clown show I mean it. From Manny on down. I don’t need to put anything more out than that.
It’s crazy how many injuries are “discovered” after so much time passes. And playing in games where they are not clearly right. I can’t imagine how much liability the U is taking on by not shutting these kids down when they complain of pains and do proper evaluations. King, Bolden, how many more?

I agree w you I just don't think this board has any real plans other than pray Mario takes our bag. id rather do what Bama did with Saban. go all in with a huge bag to Urban and tell him, its his program. turn this ***** around and fake a heart attack after that.
Go big or go with potential. Mario is the kind of guy that has a well defined ceiling. You don't pay those guys elite money. He's Dabo, but he won't have the infrastructure of Clemson to support him. I want a coach that can maximize the talent on the roster through schematic excellence. Mario isn't that kind of coach and he hasn't shown an ability to demand that out of his assistants. I'd you are going to pay 6-8 million, I want someone like Urban or Lincoln Riley. Get me someone that can truly deliver something.

Where can I find this?
it was in some 'twitter space" open conversation. DJ Dallas was in it , too. Apparently Blades popped in but then left.
I saw a link elsewhere to someone who had taped some of it. Didn't hear Ahmon but I did hear DJ. He was asked a lot of stuff directly but he didn't criticize the program or any of the coaches. All he said was he wasn't on the team now so he couldn't speak to what was going on.

The way I view is that this is all smoking mirrors what he’s accomplishing.

I am looking at his entire record over his Alan to know that nothing can be sustainable by him.

I look at his defense and recruits at the DL, LB & CB position. I look at the OL recruiting.

These opponents coming up he should beat. He’s terrible coming off bye weeks & versus good competition until recently as he beat Pitt & NC St who are both slightly over rated but I won’t hold that against him. He beat them and has before.

But he lost to UNC & UVA.

I just look at that defense and there is nothing about it that screams 9-10 win consistent wins. We have to stop lowering our expectations as a program.

Coaches going on late season runs while on the hot seat never end well down the road. You’re just putting off the inevitable one or two years. This class is already shot, it’s the perfect time.
Especially when we know that tamu is going to donkey punch us in college Station next year.

I'll check in with my baton rouge contact who let me know Oregeron was gone the Tues before the UF game but last I heard from him it was Mel Tucker's job to lose

Hes put out feelers to multiple jobs . That’s why i tell people he’s not dead set on staying there. Doesn’t mean he’ll come here , Miami would have to show him he means business.
Any of those jobs Miami?
