Manny Diaz New DC

Some of you need to calm the crap down. Constantly complaining over ***** you have no control over...what a shallow life some of you live!

He's never been great. Has never produced great results and his defenses have been absolutely dragged around the field many many times.

Randy Shannon would be way down my list of potential DC hires, but he's produced much better defenses than Diaz has.

Legit question: If the Missouri DL coach is so special, as many here tout, why would a guy like that hook his trailer to a DC that is being painted as so bang average? Did the DL coach not have other options? Did he agree believing we would land another DC? I just dont see why a guy who has been hailed as the "best DL coach in College football" would come here when such an apparent blah DC hire was in the pipeline?

I'm not going to base everything off Kuligowski. Kuligowski is a great DL coach, but I don't base my opinion of Diaz off Kul taking the DL job at UM. I'm glad Kul is here, and his hiring can only help Diaz be more effective, but I don't think Diaz is a great DC just because Kul took the job here.

Texas had some really excellent defenses immediately before Diaz under Chizik and Muscrap, so I don't buy that it was impossible to field a great defense at Texas under Brown.
 
Big part of Miami success/attitude is about having people that want to be part of the U family. If Aranda or whomever other coaches or players didn't/don't want to be here...F*%K EM..I don't want them here!!! THose who are crying over the names that didn't WANT to come here...BOOOHOOOO...it's quite hilarious reading your disillusioned rants...lol I love the hire!! Richt is on a mission...I love the staff he is putting together...Cant wait to see this D live and hear the hits crack the air!!!!

i dont understand the point of bashing Diaz in every post. He is the new DC whether you like it or not. Atleast give him a chance before you make up your mind that hes a failure.
 
I want to see how Manny Diaz does next year before I crown/rip him.

Remember, when Al brought in Dorito no one thought our defense would be as bad as it was...

The point you are missing is that we could have done much better than Diaz!! We waited one month for this??

I'm not against the hire. But those "pundits" and "experts" also thought Golden was a good coach. So to take their word as any gospel would be just as foolish as to take most of us for experts.

Bruce Feldman was Cristobal's biggest cheerleader. What qualifies a writer or a talking head to know more about Diaz than fans who have actually watched him a ton? They're just guys just like the rest of us. The Dennis Dodds and Matt Hayeses of the world are just normal dudes with average knowledge of the game.

You sir sound like a smart Canes fan. I believe resources are a big part of any type of job you do. I like teh attacking style of defense Coach is preaching, and this guy Diaz obviously likes to attack so I am riding with what Richt sees. If i knew more about football than CMR I'd be coaching my Canes. Furthermore I've had enough to B***h about the last few years, i am gonna take this time to believe in my boys again. Maybe still still high on the No More Dorito and Golden news, but like AFCane11 i'll anxiously await the product. C'MON CANES!

Jesus. But the hire has been made and no one will know what Diaz will do at Miami. Can't everyone just wait until Diaz pulls a Dorito like season in 2016 before we start with the nonstop *****fest????
