The first "drop" you're talking about wasn't even for him. Jordan was behind him, that's why the ball was thrown so hard.
He also had a drop on a corner route later in the game that would have been a tough catch, but OK I'll give him a drop.
Those 2 plays don't mean much to me. What disappointed me the most were the other mistakes. The hold on the fake FG that he clearly didn't even come close to needing to make. The abuse he took in the run game (to be fair, Brevin got smoked a few times too). And in the 4th quarter on the boot we ran to the left (short) side of the field, he clearly ran the wrong route because JT was supposed to come behind the formation into the flat (and got tripped by Donaldson as he got knocked off the ball like most of our OL did all night), and Mallory ran some sort of half-assed speed out and him and JT were separated by 5 yards, max. Clearly not the design.
ALL OF THAT BEING SAID, it was the first game of the season and it's not like he did anything that lost us the game. Even if he doesn't hold on the fake FG, does anyone have confidence we're powering the ball in from inside the 5 on that defense? Maybe it happens, maybe not. But Mallory will be fine. Making a whole thread calling him out when he was probably the 17th most critical reason we lost is retarded.
