Ah if that’s the case then disregard what I said. I interpreted it as ESD has lead to obtaining commitments prior to knowing what draft-eligible players are staying or going.

Honestly so used to him having built-in excuses, just hard to give him benefit of the doubt.
I hear you, Brother. And don’t get it twisted, he is using this as an excuse even though he does raise a valid basis.

Even with that valid basis, his defense has sucked and has been going downhill since 2017.

He still deserves to be fired.

He wanted to. Despite everything you just typed. He’s fine now
Surge but my point was that Arroyo went thru a transition that so many freshmen experience. Its normal and not unique to UM or this season. And 99% do not transfer. Sometimes its just life.

yup, Arroyo is a sure thing. You could even see it in August camp where he was easily a TE2 imo.
I want to more bubble screens with Mallory off the field

Absurd to run those plays with a kid that can’t block

He better do like Playmaker did with Walsh and spend rhe entire off-season and summer working out and improving. In our glory years the off season made us as much as Jimmy and Butch's practices. In fact, the entire receiving corps should follow suit. Mallory could be a high draft pick if he gets it together. That's IF he gets it together.

How is it a horrible take? Mallory coming back takes away playing time from Arroyo. Mallory isn’t coming back to be 2nd string.

Horrible take because most people feel that Arroyo is going to play plenty enough to showcase his talent. I personally think he’s a better player, and Mallory coming back isn’t going to hurt him. He doesn’t need to be in on every play.

It is not an either or situation, Miami has been managing two talented TE’s for a while now. From before either one of them was ever on the team.

If Mallory wasn’t coming back in 2022, would Arroyo’s usage increase, decrease, or stay the same compared to Mallory returning?
