Mallory returning next season

Interesting. Disappointing year for him but helps with depth at the minimum. He needs to sit the whole off season and rehab cause this season he is running like he has a steel rod in both feet.
I didn’t see your post before I made mine but I agree he looks stiff as if he has a hip injury or something.

Pope, Wiggins and Hall concur with this post. I'm not sure if I agree. Mallory is good for about 25 receptions for the year. Arroyo will be targeted more. He is just a better athlete and should separate after getting stronger this off season.
If Manny and staff are still here, Mallory sees the field nearly every down. Or until about the 7th game. Still bad news for Arroyo. He should be the main guy at TE next year and now he won’t. Mallory isn’t returning to be 2nd string.

I didn't know there was a decision to be made.

I personally thought he would have had a much more productive year stats wise. Still he's worth having on the team even if we don't use him properly IMO. That's another discussion though.

Jordan caught 35 balls, Mallory caught 20 in 2020. There is more than enough room for both. Plus, Mallory get hurt a lot. Arroyo is the better athlete and they appear to have more confidence with him. Kid was also hurt in the spring and during the summer.

I think he is referring to the transfer rules where players do not have to sit out a year anymore.
Ah if that’s the case then disregard what I said. I interpreted it as ESD has lead to obtaining commitments prior to knowing what draft-eligible players are staying or going.

Honestly so used to him having built-in excuses, just hard to give him benefit of the doubt.

Those numbers don’t look as good as you think they do. The WRs were Pope and Wiggins. Next year, Rooster, Mallory, Arroyo, Brinson, Brashard, Key Smith, Jacolby, and MAYBE Rambo will all be targets. Mallory coming back was bad news for Arroyo; not under any condition could his return be good for Arroyo.

I don’t know if I should be happy or not

smart move by him. hes been better recently tho that fumble is atrocious against Pitt. he needed to return and if nothing else gives us another TE to put out there in case Arroyo gets hurt.

This is a thread about one of our players, a talented one at that, deciding to come back to play for us another year.

We should all be happy and leave the other nonsense for the hundreds of threads already talking about it.
They can’t function unless they go around repeating the same sht in every thread , regardless of what the topic is .
