LSU vs Miami

Who cares how long it took him to graduate? How is that relevant?? You do not know if he is a smart QB. He hasn't played a meaningful down of CFB. LSU fans are out of touch with reality. He was never was going to win the starting job at OSU and you are not a QB evaluator so you don't know his potential. I watched his spring game highlights at OSU, he consistently under throws the long ball, even when he knows he won't get hit. He is not really mobile, he's very slow, and Miami will eat him alive if he tries to leave the pocket and scramble. He is accurate in the short game, thats one positive. He will show his true colors on Sunday though.

People said the same things about him in high school because he played in a small conference and assumed he'd get throttled by columbus/cleveland/toledo schools. "He's slow, plays weak competition, weak arm, he'll cave once our defense hits him." Then he'd hang 400 yards through the air, 100 on the ground and 7 touchdowns on those teams.

High school is high school but I think it is a huge mistake to take him lightly. Contrary to your assessment, he can run. Burrow wont dash for a 50 yard td but can easily eat up 5-20 yards on a given play.

Hoping for an injury free, excting ball game. I think it's going to be close and having grown up in Athens County, hoping Burrow balls out.

So you think Joe Burrow's going to be good enough displace an incumbent starter who went 10-3 with 3600 yards and 31 TD's?

Which of his 39 pass attempts gave you that idea?

That dude threw a killer 6 yard out against Bowling Green. Next Tom Brady fo sho!

He’s definitely a smart and mobile qb with a decent, but not super strong arm. **** he graduated in 3 years and has two years of eligibility left.
Sounds a lot like Evan “three batted balls and two sacks in five offensive plays” Shireffs.

The guy got beat out, 3 years in a row, at osu. This year he Was in a “battle” with one of the guys that beat him out last year and a 5’10” freshman (and lost, hence the new uni).

I get that these inbred swamp hicks are looking for a silver lining, but trying to convince us that the kid is an nfl guy (before he takes a single snap in the first half of a college game) is just a little funny.

No one was replacing JT Barrett at osu.
He was the #2 until he was injured and it gave Haskins the opportunity to work.
Haskins is going to be very good.

Assuming he can't play because he got beat out by an established QB...now pro and a future pro is just a little funny.
Burrow success will ultimately depend on LSUs line.

Haskins was going to be ahead of Burrow. Let's be honest with ourselves. Everyone, but LSU fans knows that.

Are you one of the fans that thinks this OL will be elite or are you one of the ones that finds the line to be terrifying as a question mark? Seems that is the two opinions I see from LSU fans. Homers that think this is an amazing line and fans that think there are a lot of question marks with the unit.

You lost me when you mentioned high school. You're joking right? First, he played high school ball in Ohio. That is a fail. The whole state of Ohio is considered weak competition. Schools who don't make the playoffs down here would eat the whole state of Ohio alive. This is a different animal down here, the talent and athletic comparison cannot even be drawn. So just throw that high school crap out the window.

I don't think he balls out. First time starters rarely have great games in their debut. But especially against a defense like ours, against Miami, in primetime, its going to be a long night for him.

Haskins won the job against Michigan. Had he struggled, Burrow would have the keys at osu. I think it's silly for people to say he's a 3rd string guy.

It's established that the OL could/will be a concern for LSU. The schedule doesnt benefit them either from a learning and development position. Miami and Auburn over the course of the first 3 weeks is brutal so I expect them to have to build as they go. Burrow will be a fine QB if he's upright. Will be interesting to see what happens sunday.

I beg to differ. I think his night is going to end early.

He will have guys in his face the whole game. He is a severe under thrower of the ball. He will throw multiple ints if he tries to go down field. Mark my words. It jumps off his film.

Because we all know OSU is just pumping out NFL QBs and it's definitely not the QB friendly system that makes them look good, right?

If Yall score 35 on that defense then you will win a natty. but that's not happening, you are no where near that Clemson team that did that to us last year. not even close

LOL @ LSU scoring 35 with a new TRANSFER QB, new OC, no RB has scored in college, missing a starting guard/not having an elite line and starting 2 frosh at WR.

GTFOH LSU fans.

Did the internet send us the only meth making, sister ******* rednecks in all of Louisiana to troll our board?

Rhetorical question. Of course it did.

You lost me at Ohio has weak competition.
Cincinatti, Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo, Dayton. Akron. Canton

Ohio is a top 10 HS football state. Florida has twice the population so it's naturally going to be a great football state...cali, texas, georgia...all large populations and all great football pipelines. High School football is high school football. There just seems to be a massive underestimation on the QB around here.

I agree about first starts rarely being great for QBs. Most guys get the benefit of playing a couple bums before games of sundays magnitude.
If LSUs line can protect Burrow, Miami will be in trouble. If the flood gates open, it'll be a long night in Texas.

Side note: That defense wasnt so hot in the biggest games of the season last year

I will say this, we cant say he is our savior but like i always say you hyprocrites that use the "You know nothing about him in 39 snaps" we can also say you know nothing about him and he may very well be good and he may very well suck balls... Just like yall say if yall get to him on D he is toast we believe when we put rosier on his back a few times he will get rattled. You Miami fans also act like Rosier is Russel Wilson and he isnt, LSU can force this guy to ****k up just like yall can force Burrow to ****k up

Oh I think that will be the deciding factor for both teams. It doesn’t matter how good your tight ends and receivers are if you can’t block long enough for the qb to make the right reads.

see that sitcowski kid that was a high rated QB recruit that moved down here to get used to things and ended up not playing on the team. the talent here in SOFL alone is unmatched.
