Nothing better than waking up to such good news! The dangerous and difficult thing is when you work on your business computer and surf CIS when such good news come out, it'll be hard to navigate around the booty gif's lmao

You know, Miami Mopers like to complain that UM has no money and is so cheap, but the reality is that the State of Louisiana is broke and LSU is paying out a massive amount to Pelini, when Blake Baker was in the final two for that job last year. Maybe LSU has some valid reasons for hiring Baker.

Sometimes it’s the coaching like Richt with Rosier. Sometimes it’s the kid like DOnofrio with Perryman. To me, their performance isn’t about great coaching and technique but great natural athleticism and instincts.

I’m all for letting Manny have his boy for now and seeing what the new DC decides. The fact Baker is officially gone is great news. Hopefully Manny is only interim/acting DC until we get a dedicated, high quality guy in there soon.

Question: Was Baker fired, or did he take another role in a different organization?

He was staying at Miami in a reduced role right?

Have there been credible reports Manuela told him to pack his ****?

Baker seeing long term writing on wall and departing is different than "we placed your personal effects in a box waiting for you at the curb..."

In some ways, SEC douches would spin the headlines that a Miami (ACC) DC left for a position coaching role at LSU akin to G5 coach moving up to D1P5.

Regardless, the man has moved on and our Canes have an opportunity of at least addition by subtraction, if not adding another leader to get our Canes on track.

Interesting - Andy Staples of The Athletic wrote a piece on Baker going to LSU last night. He says Baker is joining the staff there as "CO-DC/LB Coach. Maybe they did settle on that to justify the salary... They supposedly wanted him as an experienced playcaller for their new DC who has NO play calling experience

Manuela will bring in a DC if he feels the right get can "save" his job. He knows the sands are rapidly draining from his hourglass.

Manuela will continue forward in DC role if he feels that saves his job.

My guess he's inclined to stay present course because "that's how how got here to begin with..."

Funny how decisions are made when people run out of options.
