Lsu AD on miles

No thanks.

U ******* nuts or are you one of these guys who wants a bad coach.

Look at the names that have been thrown around and linked to the UM job...Les Miles represents Vince Lombardi compared to most of the retreads and lazy hires that our inept administration are more than capable of pulling off again.

You take Miles with your eyes closed and simply say, "thank you".

This is akin to a traumatized victim of domestic violence. You have been abused and beaten for so long that when a true respectable option for a relationship arises you doubt it and only see the negative. Truth is that each and every fuggin coach has some corch in him. If Miles is truly an option....Top two automatically on the list should be Butch and Miles

I'd take Les, I'm just stating the obvious with him. He's conservative to nauseam. He's just been fortunate to have arguably the best state for talent all to himself.

I'm the one guy who doesn't say no everyone . I'd take strong,Herman , Fuente,4Richt, pagano, chud or even Butch. Is there guys I'd like more? Yes. But I think those guys would be a huge upgrade over what we've had the last decade

If you're gonna call Miles conservative fine...but then don't turn around and say you want Butch Davis. That's all I'm saying. Butch is about as conservative and average a gameday coach as you're going to find. His strength is his eye for talent and recruiting...but Miles has proven to be pretty **** good in that regard as well.

Miles is Butch but with consistent double digit winning seasons in the SEC on his resume. We'd be certifiably ******* nuts not to take him if he became available and was interested.

Les Miles is a lazy hire who is on the downside and can't get find a QB to save his life. At Miami he is not going to keep all the talent to himself like he does at LSU.

If you don't want Les Miles but then go around and scream for Butch Davis you're certifiably nuts.

Les and Butch are practically mirror images of each other - elite evaluators of talent, field great defenses, have conservative and vanilla offenses, weak gameday coaches, lose games they shouldn't lose, etc...

Les Miles is a lazy hire...I've heard it all.

I suggest to the mods on this board that a basic IQ test become standard procedure for all new applicants who want posting privileges going forward.

Butch Davis is 10x the coach that Miles is.

Put Butch at LSU and it would be game over for the world.

I actually said I'd take Les and Butch . They're pretty much the same guy, and I've said that on here. I'm one of the few guys who isn't crazy about taking Butch, I like him as a backup plan

Neither would be at the top of my list.

I'll say it again.

Miles with our talent base plus established connections that he has already would be flat out sick.

I'm also one of the ones that isn't head-over-heels for Butch. Like you said good fallback option over the Mario and Strong's of the world.

I hold Miles in much higher regard than Butch though. To me that's an upgrade and it's not close. Consistently winning double digit games in the SEC is impressive and makes you wonder what the man would do with the benefit of an ACC schedule.

How good is Charlie Stronzo without his hurt bagman? How good will Les be without his SEC bagmen?

He makes 4.3, plus incentives, and he's almost as old as Butch.

It's going to take Les a season, or two, to get acclimated to Miami. Butch knows exactly what our situation is, and how to deal with it.

Bottom line, Les is the best/only alternative to Butch, and would certainly be more than an acceptable hire.

I do like that Les is top tier talent, and not another level 3, like the typical coach du jour.

Bottom line, Butch is better by a narrow margin, because of his previous experience with program. He'll turn the program around faster, and motivate the fan base overnight.

Les Miles' tenure at LSU may be coming to an end, according to a highly ranked source involved with the decision making process. .

A decision on his future is likely to come in the very near future, with many Tiger Athletic Foundation members ready to move on, and start a new era in Baton Rouge. The 15 million dollar buyout clause that is in Les Miles' contract is what many perceive as one of the bigger hang-ups in making a move. However, the Tiger Athletic Foundation, the athletic programs booster club that funds a lot of the athletic programs for LSU, will not allow the buyout issue to thwart its plans, according to a high ranking source

If someone is willing to pay $15 million to go away, why does Miami want him?

Sometimes you stagnate. They are in the most competitive division in football pro or otherwise. We would be nuts to not assess him if we have the chance. I would take him over Butch actually, because he is working now.
