Lost In All This (Don Chaney DIDNT Fumble)

That's not what he said. It's them seizing any opportunity they they were given to ***** us. They weren't hoping that we wouldn't kneel. That's ridiculous. However when Chaney fumbled after his elbow hitting the ground they were never going to overturn it.

Going back to your first response. It's not a matter of them blatantly taking the win from us. What it is however is an officiating crew who used blatantly terrible calls at key junctures of the game in order to influence a potential outcome. They as refs are in a position where they have the power to take TDs off the board and award free first downs for the most tricky tacky and laughable things you can think of.

This is not limited to the refs. The announcers also make a conscious effort to influence the viewing public. Go rewatch the Texas ATM game and listen to the commentary by Joe Tessitore. This guy went as far as saying that looking at the replay of Wes Bissainthe hitting Weigman on the 4th down TD pass "gave him PTSD". He would also go on to say that a clean pass breakup by one of our DBs that was not called was "a hit on a clearly defenseless player as well as lobbying for a targeting penalty on James Williams that clearly was not targeting and was overturned by the SEC officials. Tessitore is a vile anti UM propaganda spewing toolbag who is sadly one of many. Too many.
Yet we won the game.

Yet we won the game.
That wasn't my point. My point in bringing up Tessitore was to show that there is a clear bias against us in different aspects of the game. You seem to think that if we don't lose every game then this bias doesn't exist. This doesn't mean we are going to lose every game. What it does mean is that we have to overcome more than just the other team thus making it more difficult for us to win.

And we did overcome the refs and announcers and anyone else you can come up with. But instead of talking about 5-0 and UNC we’re blaming those things even though we won the game.

The point is that we have to overcome the refs as well not whether or not we did and I'm not blaming anyone for Georgia Tech but Mario Cristobal. That was literally the dumbest coaching decision ever made. And why are you bringing up UNC? That has nothing to do with what we were discussing.

I responded to you because it seemed as if you were having a hard time understanding the point the other poster was making and I clarified it for you. Now if you want to say that all the commotion about GT, Mario plus the horrible officiating is taking focus away from our showdown against UNC then we can do that and I would agree but it would be a separate discussion. Sure all the noise about the ridiculous way we lost Saturday is obscuring our upcoming matchup with North Carolina but can you really blame people? The way we lost Saturday was so bizarre and totally unnecessary that it was bound to cause the response we are seeing.

You ask why I brought up UNC and then point out that we should be talking about UNC. Like I said.

CIS baby.

Sigh. No man. I asked why you brought it up in the context of what we were previously discussing then said it should be a separate discussion. However since you brought it up I followed up by agreeing with you. That is quite obvious in reading my post. Do you follow? No disrespect brother but reading comprehension doesn't appear to be your strong suit. Nice chat. Goodnight. Go Canes!

I brought it up because we should be talking about UNC. There should have been one “REFS SUCK” thread that disappeared sometime yesterday. But here we are, still talking about the refs even though our own incompetence cost the game.

By the way, the “reading comprehension” jab is outdated and really speaks more to your inability to debate than anything else.

Don Chaney didn't fumble. We won that game. Miami can't just sit back and take this. I know how it looks to other fan bases and I don't care. They have to start calling attention to ACC officiating and put these clowns under the microscope. Yeah, Mario should have called a kneel... but you know what, it shouldn't have mattered because Don Chaney didn't fumble. Clearly confirmed of replay. The refs got away with cheating these guys. Enough is enough.

I hear you, but if we've learned anything it's not to put the game in the hands of the refs. 1988 Cleveland Gary breaks the plane of the end zone hits the ground and the ball comes out at ND. ND went on to win that game and the National Championship. 2002 Glenn Sharpe is called for PI on Chris Gamble on 4th down OSU goes on to win the National Championship. UM played its worse game of the season and still had the game won, take a knee and get out of there.

Why the **** would the ump not take control and say he was down. He had the best look, he was going to in the first place.
Because he was a coward and didn't want to make the call so he deferred to someone else to make a call in a big spot. And the person he deferred to only saw evidence being ran towards him by GT's Kennard that he had "recovered" a "fumble". Kennard sold it so hard the Line Judge bought it and called it GT ball. That was where the worm turned...when it went from called on the field as runner down by contact and instead called a fumble on the field. The burden of proof on the replay swung hard and (as usual) this white hat and his crew didn't have the balls to make the right call even though it was right in front of them in a big spot.

I watch a lot of ACC games, not just Miami. This particular ref crew is always terrible. Anytime I see these guys, they're sh1tty. We ran the ball, "fumbled", and put it in a sh1tty ref crew's hands...then proceeded to implode against a desperate charged up GT squad that we let hang around in the game far too long...and they took the opportunity and won it.

If the refs were determined to make Georgia Tech the winner, why did they wait until after we should have ended the game?

How about not throwing three INTs and taking a knee when the game is out of reach. Then we could be talking about UNC instead of how the refs supposedly hate us.

While it was not a fumble and while Miami certainly does at times play agaist the officials and the narrative for each game the refs in this particular game absolutely and 100% affected the result no matter how poorly Miami played and how poorly they were coached

I do think there is a ref bias against Miami every week and it still stems from the 1980s bad boy image and the U on te helmet and stems from the good old boy days of the new inner city team beating up on the white blue blood teams

The new Personal Foul calls in this game were an absolute joke and any other team not with a U on the helmet those arent called

Just because you are an official and just because you have a flag to use doenst mean you hae to use it

That was NOT a hold on the Parrish TD either. 7-0 there and its a different game

Also, these boob of an official group just saw the ball on the ground from Chaney and called fumble.

This is all nothing new and happens every season

I’m trying to move on, but this sh##ty taste is still in my mouth.

FYI, his son plays at BC IIRC so...

What? As is the call is/was bad regardless of what Miami did, Miami FUBAR'ing the game does not cancel out the ****** call.
Yes it does. The cheating refs don’t get to ***** us if we just do the obvious thing that 12u football players know to do.
