lol Cristobal

Might be the most overrated recruiter in the country. You think any South Florida kid is not responding positively if an Alabama recruiter shows interest? Until Florida finds a competent quarterback they lose 4 games a year. They benefit from an embarrassing non-conference schedule and divisional schedule that is a joke.

The sad thing is the kids down here have become so naive and gullible that they would believe a guy who bounces around teams like Tiger Woods does with Nanny's.

Mario Cristobal is a nobody in CFB, the only ppl that are on his dck about him being a "power move" are UM fans on this site and that's only bc he's not at UM.
For a nobody, he sure gets a lot of gigs at high profile programs.

Mario Cristobal is a at best an above average oline coach with imaginary pull as a recruiter... You all dck ride him like he's turning down HCn offers?? Lol he doesn't get any. WillievTaggert isn't respected on this board at all yet USF and Oregon hired him as their HC. What about Mario the Power Move though?? Where are his major program HC offers?? So Your point means nothing

I would think Richt is trying to change that mentality with his community reach at a grass roots level. He is looking to build a different culture at the U, which IMO has sustainability. Since we are on the Cristobal issue, have 0 interest in him.

There is a favorable movement at the U since Richt got here, IMO needs a little time.

This and Jake Allen won't help them one bit.

Let's see he left Miami and the ****tiest coach in UM history where he would of been fired. Check!
He went To Alabama and got a huge pay raise. Check!
He went to Alabama and won several national championships for his resume. Check!
He went to Oregon, got away from Napoleon and got another pay raise! Check!
Once again he left AL GOLDEN. Check! Check!!

Say whatever you want about Mario but leaving Miami at that time was the smartest thing he did for his career. And now he might get another raise to go to Florida? Lulz that means three raises by leaving Al Golden. You should applaud the man. Quit being a hater!

"He went to Alabaga and got a huge pay raise" is the epitome of fake news. Everything else you wrote is rendered null and void for still disseminating that myth.

Lulz at him and Shannon recruiting against their alma mater.

Sounds believable with those two.

UF fans all hate OC Doug Nussmeier and wish he had been fired. I wonder why McElwain didn't fire Nussmeier after this year and hire Crystoball or somebody else.

The only reason he makes this move is bc of his wife and family. Otherwise, it's a step down career wise. He's got an OC title up in Eugene, they'll pay him more, and his shelf life is probably longer under Taggert than McElwain who is already feeling the heat in Gainesville (mostly due to unrealistic expectations of the fans, and a horrid offense).

I could definitely see this move. Crystoball has no recruiting connections on the left coast but plenty of recruiting connections in Fla. It truthfully makes a lot more sense for him to be at UF than Oregon. McElwain is not on the hot seat no matter how much of a coRch he is. Taggart is on about as much of a hot seat as a guy going into year 1 could be. Taggart wasn't a popular hire to begin with having gone 24-26 at USF. And now Taggart's first 2 months on the job have been full of 10,000 assistant arrests and players being hospitalized after workouts.

Cristobal really needs to be an OC for some length of time to keep his career on the path to being a HC.

I agree over rated both as a coach and recruiter

Ty

Mario is risking his reputation as a loyal staff member. He bolted on The U. Got demoted in a sense at bamer. Moved to Oregon and if he bolts on them before he starts work, that will be a serious bad mark on his reputation. Not to mention consideration for any HC position again.

Michigan and FSU is embarrassing?

UGA and Tennessee are embarrassing divisional opponents?

I would say Alabama's recruiting class held together pretty well after his departure.

If he does this he better hope it works at UF for a long time bc the next job won't come so easily for a guy who keeps leaving before coaching a single game.
