Lingard is clearly healthy enough to play. If he wasn't he wouldn't be saying he wants to compete and he wouldn't have gotten cleared by doctors. This aint friday night lights and this isn't boobie miles, Dudes been cleared to play. And people need to stop acting like ACL injuries take a full ******* year to heal.
I think He has like 3 games left to play and keep a redshirt still - even though caring at all that a RB takes a redshirt is an indication whoever is deciding these things is straight up dumb. If a RB isn't good enough to play his 3rd/4th season in College and enter the draft, then why would we want him the 5th year. Yall do remember we're the University of Miami, right?
So when we're blowing a team out like last game, and Burns is getting carries, why is Lingard not? Also Deejay Dallas was hurt a couple games this year, and Harris actually came limping off the field in this game we just played! Seems like situation where Lingard could have gotten some snaps. Plus, over the entire season, anyone that thinks Harris has actually been good, is clearly trippin. He's been pretty average at best. Dude gets some big runs, but other than that he really doesn't do ****. He's had 2 actually good games - GTech (who sucks as at defending the run) and Louisville. Dude has 7 ******* games under 3.8ypc (4 of those were under 2.5). My point is acting like Harris has been so good that he deserves all the #2 carries behind Deejay, is wrong. Hopefully Harris improves or Chaney is ready to play, because Deejay is likely gone, and the staff clearly doesn't want to give Lingard a chance.
And thats the point here, why isn't our 5 star RB, even getting a chance? Not when we're blowing out a team, or when we're playing a **** team? If you were Lingard, and were working hard and completely healthy, and not even seeing a single snap when you were a 5 star coming out and recruited by a different staff than is currently leading the offense, why would you think staying another season is in your best interest? Imo unless we actually give him some snaps, he's going to transfer, and he should.
