List of theories regarding Petes departure.

That he was using us to build a reputation in order to get a new job with an unscrupulous agent. All you posters can continue to be polite concerning Aziz, in my opinion he is a scum bag.

Were we not all using him as well? The using part sounds silly and immature.

Guy started out from ground zero and built his reputation from there. He was given an opportunity with this website and it was mutually beneficial to all parties.

He didn't get into this portion of his career for big dollars as I can't imagine that he earned a livable income on this free website. I imagine he was offered various positions and things over his short span reporting. He took this job for reasons he only knows for whatever pay. I'm not going to fault the young man for making what I would imagine is significantly more money.

As for the unscrupulous agent bit, that's an oxymoron right? I mean, aren't they all?

Prior to this news, I couldn't have told you who this agent is, but I certainly don't know enough agents to say who the better ones are. Everyone starts out somewhere, maybe they are all in the ground floor.

Good luck Pete.
The naivety continues. This site and you were used by Aziz. I wonder what your feelings would be if information surfaces that Aziz directed Norton and Macintosh to his current employer. I repeat, asleaze is no angel.

Think back... Pete was WCW in the Mid 90’s and Ferman was WWF. Pete won all those years but in the end Ferman Came out on top and made Pete Retire. (Joking)

I like to bust Pete's balls as much as anyone but how long did everyone expect him to stalk 18 year old kids on social media for a living? This is actually a pretty smart move for someone with a Journalism degree.

Thats one way to analyze this fiasco. 18 year old kids here are very gullible and Pete pulled the wool over their eyes and then smacked them down.

Hemsley has been following Peter around hoping for him to fail for months, so feel free to discount his opinion appropriately.

I'm mad at Peter for abruptly leaving two weeks before signing day, and I'm mad at his trolling of the Miami Heat. But it's hard to be mad at him for moving on. I do think he was forced out early because of this agency business, though. I suspect Peter was exploiting that sticky synergy between journalism and agency, and it bit him before he was ready. I don't think it's a coincidence that some of our best signed with Peter's new employer. But I don't hate the hustle.

Not a fan of Malki, but Peter's been good to us. I wish him well.

That's a fair assessment. The timing was unfortunate, but in life when opportunity strikes, you take it.

I find it funny someone acts like he used them. Guess what, it was mutual and anyone that says that got more than they they gave. Get used to it as well since this is a free site and will always be a stepping stone to those wanting to get their foot in the door.

we need a poll so i know how to feel about this.
So in other words you don't have a mind of your own and you base your feelings on consensus of posters. Nice.

was that not clear in my original post? hardly think it needed repeating, you gaping cvnt
Get psychological help. Why the profanity kid. You seem to have an inferiority complex, unable to make decisions. Weak child.

how dense are you? i don't need a ******* psychiatrist, i need a poll.

We quick to forget how many agent/wanna be agent-related problems Miami has had over the past 10 years or more? Emmert would rather investigate Miami then look at anything Perv Nassar and MSU did...And WE know it. You don't play with fire with an accelerant like the NCAA around.

Pete's a traitor, plain and simple.
Is that the strongest rebuke you can think of? You guys were enamored of him. He was your shining knight. Many posters state that they can’t blame Aziz because he is young. That is a rationalization to cover up the fact that they were played by this guy and don’t want to appear stupid.
Your boy Aziz is no innocent choir boy, he used his contacts here to secure a job with a agent. I will continue to call him a scum bag until I am proven wrong about this guys intentions.

Yeah, a post saying "Good Work Pete" is enamored?!? I upvoted when he had good info or when Dynasty put up that funny video, but that is about it IIRC, Sherm.

In my business, a traitor is as low as you can go. Yes, the hyperbole out of the D.C. is cheapening the term, being thrown around by Donkeys and Elephants, but if you take your cue from that place...Well, you got problems.

I think I may have been too harsh with my Bowe Bergdahl allusion, but I guess you want the guy tied to train tracks.

Great, you were right about Pete...Go buy some lottery tickets.

Good stepping stone for the guy. The agency he’s working for is second rate, not a major player. He’ll continue to make contacts, do the network thing, then move on to bigger things. Anyone ragging on him needs to get a life. Who cares.

1. Pete hanging with Malki while still keeping in contact with Miami players and recruits
2. Pete "breaking" that Norton was leaving early
3. Norton signs with Malki
