If Pete was working with the agent before quitting as a CIS reporter, yeah it could be.
Pete was credentialed and allowed access to coaches and current players, as well as had access to recruits.

what people here are ****ed at is the potential that Pete was potentially using this site and the school the past half yr-full yr.

the first podcast with Malki Kawa was on May 4th, 2017 - basically a yr ago. First comment Pete writes? "FYI the interview with Malki was one of my favorite podcast interviews ever. Easily.".

the second podcast with Malki Kawa was on November 13th, 2017...took place at First Round managment office (not caneswear where he normally does it) . "i wouldn't be surprised if one or two guys slid into the bottom end of the 1st or top of 2nd"...thats what this dude was selling norton on using CIS lol.

But it does sound like you’re stupid enough to be giving the NCAA a roadmap. Even though you have no clue what the contact rules are.

Lead a clean life my friend. You’d be the first one to talk in any other kind of life.
 
It may be unethical on Pete's end, but it is far from an NCAA violation. A guy running a fan site, that may have had a connection to a sports agent isn't something a school can manage. Let's be honest, if Pete was using his platform to further the aims of this agent, that's between him, and the people that run this platform.

i mean im just saying this looks like a very ****** thing to do imo and kinda shady.

not saying this is literally an ncaa violation. But im not pretending Pete is just a super innocent character in this either.

Its extremely shady. He had to know this was in the works while working as a media member around the team.

No wonder he had sources on the DTs turning pro.
 
We quick to forget how many agent/wanna be agent-related problems Miami has had over the past 10 years or more? Emmert would rather investigate Miami then look at anything Perv Nassar and MSU did...And WE know it. You don't play with fire with an accelerant like the NCAA around.

Is that the strongest rebuke you can think of? You guys were enamored of him. He was your shining knight. Many posters state that they can’t blame Aziz because he is young. That is a rationalization to cover up the fact that they were played by this guy and don’t want to appear stupid.
Your boy Aziz is no innocent choir boy, he used his contacts here to secure a job with a agent. I will continue to call him a scum bag until I am proven wrong about this guys intentions.

Were we not all using him as well? The using part sounds silly and immature.

Guy started out from ground zero and built his reputation from there. He was given an opportunity with this website and it was mutually beneficial to all parties.

He didn't get into this portion of his career for big dollars as I can't imagine that he earned a livable income on this free website. I imagine he was offered various positions and things over his short span reporting. He took this job for reasons he only knows for whatever pay. I'm not going to fault the young man for making what I would imagine is significantly more money.

As for the unscrupulous agent bit, that's an oxymoron right? I mean, aren't they all?

Prior to this news, I couldn't have told you who this agent is, but I certainly don't know enough agents to say who the better ones are. Everyone starts out somewhere, maybe they are all on the ground floor and this agency will become a powerhouse one day.

Good luck Pete. You ask me, I suspect the agent business will be a good one as our talent increases. Just stay on the right side of the fence and be real, it should work out.
