Lingard in the Portal

I hear you but **** man. Shanny is a defensive coach and I guess I was just hoping for a new OC that would finally use him. I guess the HC is always going to be involved but in our case, I hope we can get a truly innovative spread and Shanny stays out of the way. Not to mention, he's obviously not firing Baker, so he really needs to concentrate on D
Maybe mandy isnt the ONLY problem.

I mock D$ for his Greentree QB whispering skills, but unless you have also watched the two players, how do you know which one looks better during this season, not HS....and Burns was never considered a bad back, but rather a will he ever be healthy enough to play back
Burns has minimal upside athleticism wise and had his time to shine against Duke. I'll throw out a wild guess and say Lingard couldn't do worse than 2.5 ypc

Why do u keep saying he had limitations and then got hurt? Limitations that caused him to move up the depth chart to #2 RB right before getting injured???
Bro I said this when we signed him, Lingard was physical beast. But that HS offense he was coming from, he would have a learning curve when it came to playing the position..he climbed the chart to number 2, then tore up his knee. Missed spring and all of fall camp..as far as this year, think a lot of the smoke surrounding this kid on twitter, message boards like this is absolutely unfair to the kid personally and can **** with a 20s yr olds mind. Anywhere he goes, it’s gonna be a uphill battle to see the field. When family that wants what they think is best for Their kid gets involved in a situation like this, it’s messy. Rumors swirling About Lo being blackballed is just CIS bs ppl can talk about and rationalize the situation ..imo it’s better for the kid to move on imo..at the RB Miami will be just fine. Wish the kid and Brian Hightower the best

Personal attacks
Its always a race or ethnicity thing with you guys but as soon as I defend myself Im banned. Dw tho not falling for that again
U could always kill urself(clarification here I'm not suggesting it. Simply saying it's an option) mods by me explaining that stance is it still a personal attack to remind him he has options?

Good 30 pages soon of yall sucking this 20 year old off...we all knew he was leaving nobody knows why but him.. oh well.

its true that his High School offense did not prepare him well for the next level. But Chaney runs in that a similarly ancient offense.

I bet you Clemson or some other top program would find a way to get his skills on the field and useful.

Who says it's about the stress and chance of reinjury? Maybe he was CAPABLE of covering kicks but didn't demonstrate the vision and cutback ability needed to be an effective running back? Many people cover kicks that don't do much else.

Sure that absolutely a possibility.
I just don't believe a single word out of the manny spin machine.
Something doesn't pass the smell test here....was it on the player ir was it on the coachinf staff is the question.....and as far as I see it the coaching staff has zero credibility.

If "Mandy" is the culture issue why is Hightower even considering returning? Seems like a weird thing to be so strongly against the coach and yet not making sure you keep family as far way as possible. Maybe you are? Who knows
As I've always said nephew is his own man. When he came here it was on his decision. When he left it was on his decision. And in the small possibilty he comes back that will also be his decision. If ur commenting that based upon vermin he was lying blatantly. But this isnt about him. Mandy stays away from the offense. He had zero to do with what was going on with the offensive side of the all. His blame in that is exactly that he simply made a hire for one position (the oc) then flat out got out of the way. Now I'd imagine he learned some. But his defensive responsibilities are lacking as well. No change made there.

Richt did begin to play Lingard and we had 2 NFL running backs ahead of him on the team last year. The fact that you think he has more "limitations" than Robert Burns or a kid who couldn't beat out Nay'quan Wright as a senior in HS for carries is literal insanity.

Dallas and Homer played over Lingard because they were better players. When Lingard signed, everyone assumed he would take carries from those two right away. That didn't happen because of his limitations.

Richt had Todd Gurley and still found a way to get Sony Michel and Nick Chubb meaningful touches as soon as they stepped on campus. RB is not an experience position. There is some pass pro to learn, but you can either run or you can't. The fact that Lingard didn't get any meaningful touches under Richt should tell you all you need to know.

Then he got hurt. If he was healthy, he would've been ahead of Burns. Harris would have probably beaten him out. Sucks to lose him but there's no conspiracy here.

Lol;

So the justification is that since 2020 is a deeper class for RBs (which I agree), then 2018 haul is discounted? So Lo wasn’t a true 5 star, is that what u’re saying? So the joy of picking up two top 10 backs in 2018 should have an asterisk to it? Losing Lo, an elite blue chip recruit, is OK, b/c we have some true freshmen coming in, who are probably better than him b/c of their rankings in a much better RB class, correct? Is that the new excuse to help ya’ll sleep for losing Lo? Let me guess, Lo is leaving b/c he’s afraid of competition, right? Lol.

It’s the same recycled bull chit every season.
Yeah just like the crying and the complaining...

I think you need to differentiate between making a comment and asking a question. I think we intuitively understand that something seems off here. There are however quite a few pointing fingers and make declarative statements as if they know something that are being unfair. I was simply asking a question. That is certainly fair since we are all wondering wth is going on. I didn't "tar" him. Some of you are way too sensitive.
It would be a fair ‘question’ for someone who didn’t pay attention to our team for the past 2 years. But not, imo, if you have.

We have had multiple kids quit and come back. Think about that. I have never heard Lingard wasn’t trying or didn’t have a good attitude.

The cancer on this team is Manny, unfortunately. He’s Typhoid Manny of Miami, causing problems while he professes to want to fix them.

And asking questions can be unfair, if the question implicitly disparages a kid. That’s actually a common way the media starts rumors. Oh hey, just a question.

This tweet here tells me all I need to know about both them.
"This hurt right here... this aint it idk what to say bout this man true ball player just wanted a opportunity gone miss my ***** frfr , all them nights on call of duty and etc
😂
, ima see you at the top brotha #1timesoup
🍜
🖤
" John Campbell

Maybe less call of duty and more playbook puts both their asses on the field.
But @Torocane says Campbell is the King...

Who died and made this kid king. You harp on his words like if they're gold.

Campbell says that LL just wanted an OPPORTUNITY. Chit, Mother F'in Manny and Enos gave Mr. Romeo Lady's Man a few snaps. So why not Lingard!? After all, what harm would it have done. Oh. That's right. Manny ALREADY KNEW LL was going to bolt Thee Gables.
