Lingard in the Portal

LOL C'mon, man, they're college kids. They play video games at night and that's ok. We'd much rather our players be in dorms playing video games than we would many other things a 18-21 year old might be getting into at night in Miami.

This place has gotten really weird.
Joe Burrow ain’t playing no COD. Homie didn’t even have a phone 😂😂

Yeah, something was obviously going on. It's a real shame. Not just because of his 5 stars, but also what I saw in that one game against a bad team and his HS tape, he really looked like he could be special for us. Oh well. The one place on O we can afford to take a hit is RB.

That was mostly subtle but effective take. Lol.

Our doctors are all world. HOWEVER much as I love vinny as a person and as long as hes been around it may be time to move on from vinny. Atleast in the head trainer capacity.
Agree and I've noticed Dr. Kaplan on the sidelines this year, I don't recall seeing him. Seems like the staff and/or administration are not confident in Vinny with injuries.

and another thing....haven't seen a thread quite like this one previously that unintentionally exposes what a line drawn in the sand we have regarding Manny....you can clearly see two camps in this thread {and likely our entire fanbase.}
Those that support Manny: its the culture, it was Enos. etc
And those that don't and think Manny/decision makers are the issue.
Very interesting.

You think the concept of beating guys out at practice is "nonsense"? What?!? I'm not saying that was the situation with Lo, but as a basic principle, yes, you EARN playing time in camp and in practice. You dont gift someone a starting spot at a major D1 program because they put up good stats in high school. That may be the dumbest comment I've ever heard.
How about when the people who earn it dont get it? How bout when players show more yet dont get rewarded for it because of their personalities. Everyone here wants to assume this is always a logical situation when it comes to who plays and when. Everyone knocked onion for playing his favorites while he sat far better players yet for the juban excuses are made that it's all on players and obviously they're no good because look who did get plays. Lol. Madness.

Lorenzo was/is an elite athlete no doubt. But when it came to the actual RB position, he honestly was not a perfect fit. He ran a little upright and didn’t have the ability to move laterally that other RBs seem to.

Maybe he can be down the road and I hope he is, because the way he’s handled himself here has been very respectable, but he’s not a great RUNNING BACK yet, and the unfortunate injury isn’t exactly speeding up the process.

We 6-7 cause our players stop trying when they dont like the coaches and cause our qbs dont like getting scram at by their coaches and cause they rather go on vacation with their ig model gfs than practice. Soft *** team I tell yall.

You earn your playing time in practice. Always has been that way and always will be that way.

Based on effort? Or results?
- If effort, we've heard from Day 1 in HS, All-American practice and here that nobody worked harder than Lo. So it can't be that. We've seen Jarren skipped practice multiple times in his career and even admit to going through the motions but he was still the starter most of the year.
- If results, well we've seen coaches play guys who are definitely not better than others all year long......so again, very questionable. Bobby Knowles never has or never will be better than Bubba Bolden. Ivey hasn't been better than Blades throughout. I can't see practice being different than games.
- To me, this whole Lo thing has personality conflict stamped all over it. I can see there being a much deeper issue we'll never get details on.
