In the rules it states QBs after turnovers are defenseless, as well as stating players far behind the play are. And he was hit from the side, not directly in front which gives refs the wiggle room to call it Block in back or Unnecessary roughness.

That's the rule they are using to be more strict against blocks against QBs.

Now you go back arguing with a ruleset that is black and white in writing and say afterwards that you aren't flipflopping after you said, that you aren't arguing with rules and instead make the argument that the player simply shouldn't have made the play.

This made legit zero sense. How would Lightfoot have gotten blindsided by the QB? And any blindside on him would be a penalty on the oppponent…. Genuinely don’t get what you think you’re saying. And you not knowing the difference between being 20 yards BEHIND the play vs in front is also very dumb.

Anyways just repeating same stuff when the fact is QBs always have been and will be protected, and Lightfoot needs to be smarter in that situation
