Latest on QB Torrance Gibson.....

Can't wait to have a coach that will recruit the local talent, and keep the studs at home.

I'm on the fence when it comes to Golden, but I can't stand when some of you make these type of comments. It is so obvious that a lot of these SFL players are spoiled and entitled. You got high school coaches, handlers, and local high schools fans blowing there head up. Because of that they feel like a coach needs to call them every day to express how bad they want that certain player. This is not a Golden problem, it's a SFL problem. I think it will help if Miami wins, but ultimately kids will continue to follow the cash, they will continue to go to other top schools because they are hot at the moment, and they will spurn the local team because they feel like they should be slurping on them also.

That's part of the ******* game. Either learn to play the game or continue to have other schools pluck most of the talented kids from our backyard.

Sorry man, but I don't think that goes for every area. I doubt schools, like Alabama, Texas, USC, Michigan, or FSU has local kids crying if they don't get a call or a letter every other day.

Well those teams you mentioned, among others (Bama, FSU, Clemson and the entire SEC) recruit our area so what does that have to do with anything?

They've learned to play the game and are having more success than we are. Either Fat Al learns to adapt or keep watching players leave.

I'm upset about losing out on guys, but i am past this dude. If you want to go play at Tenn our Auburn, because they fit what you want. Our perhaps you see that they are really on the rise. Then hey, go for it, but to sit and make up ****, is just childish. No way these coaches went ghost on recruiting this kid.

They would have to be some stupid mother****ers and after seeing. How being lazy in the recruiting game has paid off for them in the past. I just can't see them ******* around with a guy that could be a solid QB our an elite WR.

If Nick Saban coached the Miami Hurricanes it wouldn't be fair to college football

If nick Saban coached the miami hurricanes wed probably be in a death penalty right now lol

No way...not with Emmert at the helm.

UM

This ish right hea! Until he's gone, the SEC will continue to do whatever the **** it wants to do to recruit kids and "$how the love". Ole Miss with the top recruiting class a year ago. Come the **** on, really?

I'm sorry, but I am so sick of these kids who just want every school to lavish constant attention on them. Yeah, he is a great athlete, but he is choosing a school to attend for four years and a team to be a part of. Me, I'd want to commit early and recruit as many other top kids to come with me. Just don't understand the me me me attitude so many kids have now days.
Dudes like this want as many Twitter followers as possible. He gets CONSTANT attention from Tennessee fans on there. Add that to Butch Jones being a pretty good recruiter, and I'm sure he "feels the love".

Also, if he's choosing UT-K for the academics, then that should tell you a lot. They're not in the same breath as Miami is when it comes to academics. We're 47th in the country, they're tied for 101st.

One of my favorite recruiting quirks, the ever present "academics will be the most important part of my decision." I remember when Myron Rolle made those statements when he was looking at Stanford, FSU and a couple of other schools, but then wound up picking FSU. That was at least good for a laugh.

I hate to say it but the kid is making an educated choice. Please don't tell me you think TG fits our system better than Auburn. Sometimes these kids actually do their homework and sometimes we actually have to swallow our pride.

Thiis is a kid you change your system for which Miami has never done. I am very happy with Olsen/Kaaya. We in fact just need to add a decent kid this year and get a stud next year. Auburn is an excellent fit for this kid.

True but he does so while being a pre Madonna saying we are not heavily recruiting him and remaining in contact with him which is absolute crap. We've been on him since eighth grade so he can shove it.

kid seems to like all the attention, and tenn gives a lot of that to these kids especially their fans on twitter, this is appealing to him now but lets see how he feels about them when they have another horrible season

He's said since that infamous December interview ripping us that he loves the Tennessee fans basically kissing his *** on twitter. The kid loves the attention and when you give a 16 year old this much attention you can expect that but then its up to all the grown men to stop feeding into it because the kids ego will get worse

When they say "academics" will be most important, you mistakenly believe they mean GOOD academics. They mean "easiest friggin academics I can find at a school that pays me money and gives me girls!"

No you don't because on linemen steps on his ankle then what? Have KO or BK run the system? That means we waisted two year recruiting the QB position for nothing

FWIW, its not that difficult to add more read/option to our offense IMO. We run most of our stuff out of the spread anyway under Coley, it is what he knows.
