Latest cheese on the Golden saga

Weren't people saying Dimare ****ed up the last search? Forgot how, but something along those lines.

New President has to save the AD, absolute nightmare.

As we can all see, this is why an athletic director that is competitive and understands sports should be the one making the calls on these types of things. You put these decisions in the hands of a vile troll and a tomato sling ****** and this is the result.

Here's to hoping the next president blows it all up and sets up a proper power structure.

I really wish I was faced with the decision of whether I should stay or go where there are no expectations, I am untouchable because the decision makers feel obligated, and I can protect my friends all while collecting over 2 million dollars in an area with fantastic weather, excellent cultural experiences and no state income tax.

Sure sounds like he has a lot to consider.

Donna Shalala and Paul DiMare will not fire Al Golden this year even if he keeps his entire staff. They feel that because he went through the whole NCAA ordeal he deserves another year. The majority of the Board are not happy he is keeping his assistants.Butch Davis will never be an option as a coach at UM based on current BOT thinking. He is not an option due to his past actions that are not repairable. There is a possibility that Golden will resign this week on his own accord now that he has not been fired. The family situation and pressures might be to hard to handle.Golden can only hope he has a winning season next season so he can bolt to another job if he does not win he will be the most criticize man of college football .He will end up like Larry Coker coaching a meaningless program. These are the rewards/risks he faces on the decision he makes this week.It is Al Golden's decision to resign or stay.

Translation: Butch wants to win, therefore he is not what the administration is looking for in a HC....

WAKE THE FCK UP, PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DiMare is the guy who supposedly chose Golden in the first place. If what OP says is true, then DiMare is too much of a pansy to admit that he was wrong.

UM needs an experienced AD who actually knows something about football to be making the decisions here. Not a ******* president & booster.

incredible how the majority of BOT are successful in their respective professions, fail to realize how big of a business college football is and how much money can be made given a good product.

Posturing, nobody giving in, but both sides want out....both going to ***** each other over because of stubbornness

Man, Folden and his agent have totally clowned UM since he got here and we've been paying the price for 4 going on 5 years now. Ridiculous.

No, son....they know EXACTLY what they are doing. You don't get rich by being a ***kg idiot. These people are getting massive paychecks to keep Miami mediocre. Trust and believe.

It's time to raise **** and make Golden's life impossible

I agree and disagree. Campaign, boycott, ads, posters, etc are fine and encouraged. However, showing up at his house and messing with his wife and family (as some people have suggested) is immoral and illegal. Shame on whoever resorts to those measures

Let me get this straight...

Butch Davis, who resurrected this program from legitimate sanctions and stacked the deck for his successor by assembling the most talented team ever (2001 national champs), can never come back because he left for a better job when this notoriously cheap administration low-balled him.

But Al Golden, who's destroying the program we all love after a slap on the wrist from the NCAA, is welcomed back with open arms with a deplorably pathetic resume despite going AWOL last January in a desperate attempt to get the **** out of Miami and coach at his alma mater.

F*** this administration. F*** Al Golden. Just kill the program.

And a potential new coach will see how "bad" our fans are and it will hurt us hiring a new one.

The ball should never be on Golden's court. Pull the ******* trigger and get this piece of **** out of here. Keeping him only hurt the program is ways they never seen before.

My hatred for Golden and Miami's administration is spiraling out of control. So much so that I'm beginning to hate "The U".

Note: No, this isn't an "I'm changing teams" statement. It's a "mother **** these mother ****ers for making me feel this way" statement.

It's a waste of time hating Golden, just like it was hating Shannon or Coker.
This is all on the folks in charge of the most inept run Athletic Department in college football.
And that includes Donald Shalala all the way to the BOT.
Folks need to let go of the anger towards Golden as that is an unnecessary distraction to
the real problems plaguing UM football.

Does anybody think Gorlden has the balls to resign?

I think he's too much of a ******* coward to even do that.

I would stay if I were him to to f up the program. He has enough money in his buyout to retire for life.
I would coach Miami let the fire me. Take my money and bang my blonde wife if I was Al and not care. I mean hey if they wanna be stupid and give him an extension I would tell him as his agent to milk UM for every **** dollar.

No matter what happens, our only hope of sustaining any long-term success is if the next president destroys the current power structure upon his arrival. These are the most incompetent, useless, pathetic pieces of s*** in the entire country running our athletic department. If the next president just gets out of the way and gives actual power to an AD of his choosing (obviously not Blake James), things may get better. If not, we're f***ed forever.

As for Golden, there's no way he'll quit. He's the most stubborn man in history and probably still believes his philosophies can be successful here, even though anyone who isn't functionally brain dead sees otherwise.

Kill the f***ing program. What a joke.

Correct. Firing Golden is not going to be enough. They'll turn around and hire Mario Cristobal or some other so called "up and comer" and we'll be stuck right where we are. You have to scrap everything. Blake James, all the "assistants" whose job is damage control and making arrogant tweets, the marketers, the bean counters, the social media people creating ridiculous propaganda, Andreu Swasey. I'm not convinced UM needs a president that "cares" about football either. It needs a president that is a smart decision maker and understands the value of the football program and decides to build an autonomous athletic department that doesn't completely crumble every time something like Al Golden happens. Donna Shalala has literally crippled the entire athletic department. And they need to stop being cheap skates.

But that is not what is going to happen. It's a pipe dream. UM football is well on its way to pre-Schnellenberger status.
