The thing is a PRODUCTIVE and stable Miami .. there is not better job in college that would come available. Bama? Not happening. Clemson? Not happening. A stable Miami is a gold mine. The jump from here if he does it right would have to astronomical
 
The big question with Kiffin is... If he has success here and we pay him big $$, does he like SoFla and the situation enough to at least stick for 5years or beyond.... think everyone on this board is scared of a 3year or less type of situation with him....

I mean every candidate has downsides. He defenses aren’t great but if you are giving him tons of money get a top notch DC. He’d be electric here no doubt. To me, his and Mario’s downsides are nitpicking which for a program that Hs averaged 7 wins per year the last decade doesn’t make sense.

He also just had two of his better recruits decommit in short time. Almost as if they smell some smoke.

Nobody forgets this. Golden or Saban, who would you prefer to work for? Who is going to develop your skillset more and prepare you for bigger jobs?
 
OK, since nobody is going to going to the possible negatives of lame, here’s one: he’s never won anything. Numerous head-coaching jobs, unceremoniously fired and left on an airport tarmac, basically fired from Alabama, left a trail of bad feelings and little accomplishments.

Prove me wrong.

We’re all getting this big hard on for him, but these are the types of questions prospective employers are going to look at.

I’m not against him, but I think you have to take a clear eyed and sober look at him.
