Lane Kiffin is realistic (info).

Unless Kiffin is playing for a raise, which why use Miami and not LSU, I don’t see a benefit in doing this. Ultimately Miami’s people and Kiffin’s people have talked and it’s being used to force Mario’s hand.
Probably because LSU has pretty much made it clear they want Lincoln Riley.

Pretty much. And I believe they do it because they are certain Mario will say no.

I am being real. So wait... your point is that we aren't going to be able to easily replace the great Lane Kiffin if we lose him after three year... but also he sucks because his former players aren't huge fans of his. LOL.

If Lane leaves for bigger pastures it will mean he crushed it here, Miami is a perennial top 10+ program again, we will have a three year track record of having shown a major financial commitment to football, and our next HC hire will be a walk in the park. We will have 10x the leverage we have now.

Nowhere did I say he sucked. I said I would be fine if he came here, I just don’t expect him to stay long. I simply said he’s a merc. If he has success here and stays, then great, but judging on his past I highly doubt that.

It's a fair critique but I believe he would've stayed at USC until an NFL came knocking again. I think the same could apply here. He's showing that his own "quality of life" is an issue as he could've been a god in Tennessee. I don't see him leaving "blue water" for State College, PA or Columbus, Ohio or Norman, Oklahoma and he's already shown a certain level of disdain for most SEC locales- even beautiful Tuscaloosy.

Plus in Miami, unlike the college towns, there is plenty of hot young pusssy that isn't UM affiliated. He good.

I don't know if Kiffin wants to go to the NFL or not. It probably would take at least 3-4 years to get enough credibility, after what happened with Oakland. I don't know if Cristobal wants to go to the NFL or stay in college. Miami could be a keeper job for him, especially now that the coffers could finally be open.

Easy there, @Liberty City El

All of you that want lane…don’t you see? He’s a mercenary, if he does come here and has any sort of success, he WILL leave for a better job as soon as it opens. He’s proven that every place he’s gone.
That's the point. He has to have success first. Something we have not had here in a long time.

I’d counter and say Miami is all in on Mario. The point is who would force Ole Miss to open the checkbook up more? Division rival or a team you never play?

Now Mas or someone at the top of Miami is playing fuqin chess not checkers

Miami wants Mario

Miami plants seed that another top candidate has interest in Miami job

Heat gets turned up on Mario

Control the narrative and make the Miami opening valuable snd coveted…. The art of the sale 101
