This point. Now I understand how teams with good QBs have decent to good D. It’s what you practice against, starts with the QB. With our QBs recently, we know the story.

Agreed, Flagg played well last year but having Popo as the 2 at MLB gives a lot more athleticism on the field and it’s great he’s getting those reps with the ones this spring.

1000% agree. Thought Guidry did an outstanding job especially with some of the depth issues we had. That Clemson game was one of the better defensive performances we’ve had in a big game in a long time.

Great stuff, D. Guidry will tell you who the studs are. Last year he made a comment in early fall practice about how to watch out for 44 out there. I thought it was the typical freshman hype but it was legit. I expect the same for this year’s crop. He probably won’t watch what he says if the kid is a stud.

You can tell he’s a student of the game on D, and therefore a problem solver. He’s never overwhelmed by a bad performance. Always a welcome sign.
