WTF is going on in S. Florida? They we should have offered Wilson! That dude can play! Plus he L.E.G.A.C.Y! Alabama and Auburn along with every other program in my state always offers a legacy just out of ****ing respect!

We lost a WR we didn't need.
We lost a CB who wasn't a must-get.
We lost a DT who's overweight and has questionable work ethic.

And...

We lost a slow CB who refuses to play Safety. (who we didn't even offer)

Boo ******' whoo!

Give me Lane and Cook, keep the other two. Lets hope beating them Sept 7th sways Lane and Cook our way.

How does Quincy even think he's going to stick as a corner at UF when they already have 3 top CBs commit before him, more then likely are still going to recruit Jalen Tabor and Adoree' Jackson, and have yet to get a safety commit???

.....hmmmm.

"That's a great group of guys. All I'm gonna say is south Florida football is the best. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'm going to be a positive 10 on trying to get other south Florida kids to pick Florida."

Look at this disgusting quote from Devante Phillips. Wtf is this ****. Can't wait until September 7th. Watch these traitor South Florida want to hop on the bandwagon after we kick some Gator ***.

I know this is going to come off as sour grapes, but I'm watching Wilson's tape for the first time, and I'm just not that impressed.

He looks stiff. Doesn't change direction with much fluidity. In most of these clips, he's play 10+ yards off the line of scrimmage, or blitzing off the corner. I don't see top-tier coverage instincts or closing speed.

Maybe he's a great player and the highlights don't do him justice, but I don't think he's a big miss. Just doesn't look like a twitchy athlete to me. If he's dead-set on playing CB, he looks like a guy who's gonna have to be a mauler at the LOS.

He doesn't even look like a top-tier safety prospect to me, either. Jamal Carter's film is far more impressive than this.

i think dudes are putting too much stock in the florida game if dudes wanted to go somewhere and compete for a NC alabama, LSU, maybe even Taint or ND IJS i dont see lane saying "well they are better then florida and i will never have to play them in my career if i stay, im going to miami" thats just not logical

This thread is full of female shoulders.

Wait till Sept. 7th, then wait till february mother****ers. Just wait.

I don't necessarily disagree.

My problem with missing on Wilson is that we take a lot of high-floor guys, or "coal-shovelers" to steal a Golden term. Wilson provides that along with good physical traits and an influence over top players at University and the SF High School Express. The collateral damage outweighs the risk IMO.

I agree with everything but the DT part. We would all lose our **** if Golden flipped Clark.

This is how I feel, how can you take a ray lewis and then not offer a Wilson. He is atleast big enough and athletic enough to be a D1 player, even if only special teams. His influence down here is obvious. I just dont like the idea thats its cool or ok to be from down here and go play for UF. I dont think that amount of top talent has gone to UF in one year from down here. The individual players might not mean much but when other guys leave together.

Speak for yourself. Clark's play so far is taking the path of Keith Bryant. Who's junior year was better than his senior year. Clark's sophomore tape was better than his junior tape. Now he has put on weight. Plenty of time for him to change it, but we'll see that now that he can go anywhere in the country if the drive that got him the hype still exists.

He just screams "Strong Safety" to me. He's physical and he's got the frame to get bigger, so I'd put him in the box and let him wreck ****. But CB? No way.

But I can see your point. Perhaps we should've offered, and just let him naturally grow into a Safety.

Agreed, I think he's a safety all the way.

I don't want some glorified pied piper on the team. If he as influential as you say and he convinced those 2 guys to go Florida when they weren't all that impressed than UF can have them. If they made their own decisions then he wasn't as influential as you think and giving in to him wouldn't have mattered anyway.

This staff isn't going to offer a kid they don't feel deserves an offer, no matter how much influence he has. Its not how they operate. I like it, some don't. Personally I think it sends a strong statement.

As players, Wilson and Lammons are meh. Lane is obviously a stud, same with Cook. Jury still out for me on Clark.

when we win some games this year some of those kids will start to think twice about their commitment, trendy kids

Yeah I wouldve offered Wilson his junior year..... and i'm not as hard on him about where he committed too b/c where else was he going to go? UM has shown NO interest in any player from Uschool not even for the sake of establishing a relationship at that school.

Obviously he has pull too and if we wouldve offered him, we wouldnt have to worry about SFL players recruiting for Florida but just like last year Miami will survive regardless.
