"Lack of depth"

We don't care about FSU's team. And the fact still remains that we don't have depth. That didn't change.

Does fsu have depth at safety, linebacker, oline, qb, CB and to a certain extent dline? No

I don't care about FSU.

So you just care about depth in theory and depth in a vacuum? You don't care about our depth as it relates to the teams we play against?

I mean I don't know FSU's team or what their depth situation is. But I do know that they have consistently ranked at or near the top in recruiting the past 5 or so years, while we really haven't done great recruiting, and we've lost quite a few players in the offseason (Some of which were good losses though). I think that is a decent way to show the talent level and depth of most teams.

But more importantly I'm just saying we have a **** load of room to improve the talent on our team. We very clearly don't have as good of a team as we've had the past 2 years. Yet with actual coaching I think we win 10 games for the first time in over a decade.

One of the worst posts I've ever read.

You don't know anything about FSU, but you assume they have better depth everywhere because they've had higher ranked classes. Then, you tell we "very clearly don't have as good of a team as we've had the past 2 years"? Did you really type that fcking ****?

Get your fcking head right, son. Come on. Do you live in an assisted living facility? How do you function thinking like this?

I'm tough on you because I have empathy for your plight. Don't let me down, son.

Just because players are playing against ****** teams, doesn't mean they're depth. Having depth just doesn't mean having a body there to play. Our backup LBs will get bullied by better teams especially in coverage. Why the **** do I care about any other team? Last I checked, this is a Miami site.

Smack, you sound like you got smacked with a billy club. You don't care about other teams? Do we play against ourselves? You guys can't be this fcking dumb can you?

I love the chest thumping before we actually play real competition. Folks never learn to let things play out before talking shiyt.

Will anyone address our opponents' depth and tell me how it's better than ours? That's all that matters when you guys start whining about depth. Our depth at a few spots isn't good. We get that. Now, tell me why our opponents are so much deeper across the board.

The funny thing is. They will continue to overlook our comments because they don't have a real foundation to their claim.

They want to force this "lack of depth" narrative upon us like they want a built in excuse for when Richt and or Diaz make a dumb coaching decision that cost us the game. So they can blame it on "depth" instead of calling the coaches out.

Please tell me how Louisville and UNC all of a sudden got this " quality depth".

These boys are getting game experience and being coached up. That's development.. that's creating depth.

The same way Louisville got depth.

"Depth" is the new cloud. These dudes don't even watch much college football. They have no clue what our opponents look like or how much depth they have. One imbecile in this thread went so far as to say he doesn't care about what our opponents' depth is.

Depth is only relevant in relation to who you are playing against. Therefore, unless one of these mealy-mouthed wimps can analyze how our opponents are so much deeper than us, all they're doing is repeating stupid **** to set up excuses and to look like geniuses if we lose.

This is just stupid. Comparing depth to one team doesn't decide who wins or loses. You can beat teams that have better depth than you, and you can lose to teams that have worse depth. I'd rather compare starters, in which case FSU and Clemson clearly have more talent than us in the ACC. None of that changes the fact that our depth isn't very good. If you cant accept that, you're the imbecile.

You don't even understand that when I'm talking about depth, I'm not talking about it to show that we can't beat FSU (who I have repeatedly said we will beat) or to show we can't beat anybody really, I'm using it to show how close we are to reaching the top again. I'm comparing our depth to the top teams in CFB, Bama and tOSU. I want to be on the path to a National Championship, and the first step to do that is loading up on talent. And right now Our talent top to bottom isn't nearly as good as it needs to be. The difference between this year and the past few years is that we are less talented, but have a major upgrade in coaching.

You, and some others on this board, hear someone say we don't have good depth, and immediately overreact (like you do just about everything) as if they're saying we will lose every game because of it.

Yep. Fsu is missing their two best players on D for our game. Nobody mentions that in these talks.. Also nd lost nearly everyone to the draft. They are both struggling with depth

You're right. Challenging people to think critically and actually talk about the depth of our opponents is "chest thumping."

You depth whiners are the logical, detached geniuses.

Stop with that bullsh*t argument. Miami is building depth at plenty of spots now that the underclassmen have played in some games. Even the backup linebackers are gaining experience, creating depth. And I love how some of you say we lack depth but don't a **** thing gets mentioned about how fsu looks on defense now that they have injuries over there... But I thought they had superior talent and backups to everyone.... the way some of our fans think is that depth issues and injuries are only exclusive to Miami, they are in every program...

Nice porst ******

Next time you want to start a g@y *** topic like this go slam your ***** in a door first then see if you still feel like porsting

How can you just assume this? This is cynicism and conjecture.

A lot of you were claiming app state would exploit those same weaknesses. Wonder how that worked out.

Michigan state had 3 freshman in the defensive backfield at one point last year or the year before and still had a good defense. They arent recruiting a bunch of "elite" depth. Coaching.

Richt and co should be developing our potential projects and "star" lacking players.

Thats what you pay the big bucks for. We have some good pieces to develop if you ask me. Better than a lot of the rosters yall diq eat.

These dumb scared fcks haven't seen ND play a snap this year if they think ND has any depth at all on that defense. We look like the 2001 Canes compared to those guys.

I watched the UNC-Pitt game and Pitt has no depth on the DL as I didn't see them sub the entire 4th qtr IIRC they were sucking wind and the Pollack had all day to carve them up and UNC has no depth on the D period. The UNC walkon LB Holcomb played the entire game he was sucking wind and got pushed around a lot.

we do lack depth in the sense of "miami depth." having said that, our roster (with the lack of depth) is still better than 90% of the teams we face this year. guys on this team that some consider - lack of miami depth type players - are still better football players than the guy they are lining up against.

These dumb boot lickers don't want to hear that. They just want to repeat their meditation mantra "We have no depth. We have no depth. We have no depth."

I saw the same thing you did in that game. And I saw it the weeks before for Pitt too against PUS and Okie State. Narduzzi is supposed to be a defensive genius, but he has no players. They're getting slaughtered by everyone they play.

UNC's defensive depth is completely non-existent.

not a single person on this board has invalidated this argument. not sure how hard it is so hard to understand. most on this board judge our depth from the perspective that we have to play against a top 10 team every single weak. no team is playing the majority of their games against top 10 teams.

So we went from very concerned about our depth at like 5 positions to not at all concerned about our depth at any position in a matter of 1 month? I'm as positive a guy as any but I'm definitely still concerned about not having quality depth at a couple of positions.

They can't grasp this argument or refute it because they're dopey parrots who just repeat that stupid "no depth" mantra because they heard Pete or DMoney or LuCane say it.
