they backed off and played not to lose."

Just made these comments on Gameday. Senile old goat Lee Corso agreed with him, but given the fact many here take what Kirk says as gospel, I found this interesting.

Looks like the Golden Girls Cult is in quite the pickle.

I find it funny they crucified him in that ESPN call thread last week, yet as soon as the other thread came out praising AG, they were falling over themselves hangin on his nuts

I am far from a Golden guy and up to this point have many doubts. The guy is a smart guy, hopefully he starts to learn from this stuff and can transform from the temple coach and big ten mentality to a guy who can win big games in the ACC and beyond.

Ok that's doubtful but sounds good on paper :ttdG2M10mxVZxan.jpg

In a 100% honest assessment I don't agree with him now and I didn't agree with his comments during the game. Trust me I was furious with the outcome and cussing and throwing **** too but we just weren't making the plays that were in front of us.

I was perfectly fine with the play calling in the 2nd half. We choked and the execution sucked. When you don't make plays....it's easy to say we shut it down. We were taking shots early, passing on running downs. Execution pure and simple.

Right there with you. I didn't feel that we were conservative when I watched it live. I didn't feel we were conservative after a rewatch. Missed Coley down the sidelines early in the second half. The Dobard fumble. Pass batted down on third down in FSU territory(the same play that was completed to Dorsett in the first half and set up the second TD). Three separate drives in the third quarter. In the fourth, Jalen Ramsey bats down a pass after Yearby chips him and leaks out. That play goes a long way if Kaaya gets it to Yearby. Kaaya has Dobard down the seam in the redzone in the 4th on first or second down. Pass is batted down.

If we played conservative we might of won considering duke was gashing their d run after run until he got hurt

The offense was not the problem. These arguments are deflecting from what cost us the game. Our defense went into its poossy zorn *** style and let fSU score.
FSU first three drives. Punt punt punt
FSU final three drives. Fg fg td.

Gotta execute. If it weren't for 1 or 2 or 10 or 20 plays here and there, we'd a had em. Players... Sheesh...

What do you mean by this? On one of the most important plays of the game, we got burned by the blitz.

After rewatching, I don't really agree. If we had lost the game airing it out while Duke was chillin' averaging 6 yards a pop, we would call Golden dumb for not giving the rock to the best player on the team.

We killed them over the middle in the first half. FSU adjusted by playing more zone and putting a robber in the middle of the field. The running game was working, but we didn't properly adjust in the passing game.

We also had a couple big plays that didn't work. Just missed Coley down the sideline when we took a deep shot. Yearby would've gotten huge yardage on a screen pass that was batted down. Dorsett would've gotten huge yards on a pass that was batted down. Dobard fumbled the ball as we were crossing deep into FSU territory.

They were two evenly matched teams, and FSU made one more play than we did.

Now is that an indictment on Golden's record as a whole? Sure. But I didn't have a big problem with the coaching in the actual game.

^^^^This is the correct response people just don't want to see it.

The game was won on the recruiting trail.

Dalvin Cook personally takes FSU to the house after a 1st and 20 from the 45
Demarcus Walker saves what is sure to be a huge gain on a draw to Yearby
Jalen Ramsey blitzes and bats down a pass that would have been a touchdown
Jalen Ramsey intercepts Kaaya on the last play of the game.

Very simply, they had difference makers at a crucial time in the game.

If you're going to call someone stupid, you might want to learn the proper use of you're/your.

We didn't go into a soft zone. We were still playing a lot of man coverage. We had guys draped all over their WRs. They just made some good catches. You can't expect to completely shut down FSU's offense.

Our freshman QB gave us a 16 point lead. How about we place blame where it belongs. Our defense didn't defend that lead. That was Golden's gripe with the GaTech loss. That we didn't play with the lead (even though we did, twice). Well, here you had a ******* lead and you didn't keep it. Shut the **** up you Golden Girls and acknowledge that your lord and savior lost the ******* game.

Do you people only watch the offense? The Defense went conservative too! Jesus Christ.
