Hard truth: he looks like crap.
You and others like you who can’t see that King is the one Eason we won tonight are bull****ters. Yes, he made mistakes, but he made winning plays too .2 years of watching him misread RPOs at an alarming rate. Lashlee isnt great, but we're missing lots of chunk plays because King has tunnel vision.
hes just not a alpha... that holding call he needs to get up in the o line face and scream!!!!! make these players play better!!!!!!! hold them accountable he is wayyyyyy to nice2 years of watching him misread RPOs at an alarming rate. Awful.. too soft...too dumb...too scared... sad times.. it starts with Manny thoughThis was my first time seeing King play live. I was blown away at how bad he looked.
SF can you give details on this being at the game: did you see receivers open. This was my first time seeing King play live. I was blown away at how bad he looked.
To be fair, he’s constantly running for his life so it’s just a bad habit at this point. What is Miami going to do when he’s gone and TVD can’t run like King when a play breaks? He missed wide open guys too. I posted this last year, he makes 1-2 reads and leaves.
Thats the thing , a lot of the “ running for his life “ is caused by him.To be fair, he’s constantly running for his life so it’s just a bad habit at this point. What is Miami going to do when he’s gone and TVD can’t run like King when a play breaks?
I’m not defending King because he looks like **** but many times the OL doesn’t do him favors.71

Not knowing how to count is 100% on him. Just like the Bama game he tries to run into a 6-7 man box instead of going to the bubble. That’s stuff you learn in high school. He has no idea how Lashlee’s offense works. It seems that a lot of folks have identified the problem with King but we can't lay it all at King's feet. The best QB's usually get in a rhythm but Lashlee's play calling does not allow King or the offense to establish one. Its like there is no game plan based on what the opponent does and he just decides he wants to establish the run. And when King does get some momentum going-- especially tonight and I dont know why folks are overlooking it -- but his receivers were dropping well placed balls. The soft TE dropped a well placed ball deep in App State territory on either the first or second drive. Harley dropped catches that would have extended drives and Rambo dropped one inside the ten that would have been first and goal.
Everybody is right King isn't all that but his receivers and his blockers aren't necessarily doing him any favors. And I don't know for sure but I am suspicious that at times when King left the pocket early there was nobody open.
Stand corrected thank youYou do realize he was a QB in high school turned WR for through necessity at Houston (injuries ravaged their WR unit) before taking the QB job next year as he pulled double duty initially.
During his senior season, he broke the career Texas 6A passing touchdowns record of 117 set by Kyler Murray the year before. During his high school career he passed for over 10,000 yards and rushed for over 3,000, throwing for 140 touchdowns and rushing for 48.
So you were saying? He's been a QB since childhood.
Blake is the problem.Manny is the problem.
He was never going to be drafted as a qb, no matter how great he play s this seasonProbably wishing he has never left Houston. He put up video game like numbers there through the air and on the ground. Here, he looks pedestrian overall and his arm is a huge question as well as his body going forward. It'll have an effect on his draft status in any capacity, lucky to be drafted at all.
Then you have simpletons like a lot on this board saying he sucks. Did he suddenly forget how to play? What changed? He's literally regressed here, why is that?
If I was his family I would be ****ed too. He'll be lucky to make it through the season.
