Coach Steele says he did some consulting work with three different Power Five schools from different conference last year. He says he was very busy with that. He says he did two radio shows every week and had fun talking about the game in that way.

Steele calls Mario Cristobal "a phenomenal recruiter. We know what this program can be and what type of coach Mario is...it is like getting in a vehicle and you know where it is going."

Steele says he doesn't get concerned with the style of offense the team he is on runs. "Our job is to put out fires on defense." Says he doesn't focus at all on having a poor attitude that could blame an offense. "Our job is to physically dominate and get the ball back to the offense."

Steele is asked if he intends to coach linebackers at Miami. He says he has coached everything in his career. At this present time, all things are on the table. Cristobal is trying to piece together the best staff full of dynamic recruiters and teachers.

Steele says he can sense and feel the commitment the university is making to football is different. He knows Dan Radakovich personally and trusts that he will lead a program to be in a position to compete for championships. Also knows how competitive Mario Cristobal is.
