This is the time of year where alot of kids are looking for a free weekend at the beach.

95% of the posters in this thread are in agreement that it's a long shot. But our staff is not slowing down on the trail. If they did we would crucify them for being lazy. We've got the official visits available and a big time need.

Basically assistance in lining things up and communicating between staff, parents and recruits. He was gave a temporary promotion because kool finally admitted this water is deep and full of sharks. He needs help to get around to the right kids with the time we have left being limited. He's basically a sales associate to put the right kids in front of kool. Dee do you think the 10th assistant coach will be coming in for primarily recruiting purposes? Or will they look to get someone in on the, for example, Special Teams/LB/Safeties who can also recruit? (ie. Ed Reed, Mallory's Dad, etc.)

I’m glad Richt or someone finally realized we need to help a Kool. He is a great coach who doesn’t recruit it seems and that is fine, as long as Richt has a plan in place on assisting him get his guys.

I'd say were leaning more towards a ace recruiter. We need people who can always relate to the alphas out there. Wouldn't be surprised if they worked with lb as well. But it is just a guess from some of the people I've seen around campus lately as well as some of the names thats been tossed around. Plenty of former alums would love to help however we can to push us along.

some of us been questioning kool on this, but these white knight idiots had every excuse in the book. this falls on diaz, imo. he's the boss on defense. what the **** has he been doing? richt might want to look into hiring a second dline coach, that coach either Tackles or ends like some other schools do

Kool doesn’t need help coaching! He needs help recruiting. Dee is spot on if we get an ace recruiter who will also coach LB. This will help free up Diaz some, and the recruiter can help across the board on defense. I believe this is the best way to approach it.

Agree. Kid wants to take some visits. Already committed to Texas. Texas putting together a tremendous class so I'm sure they will keep him.

Why didn't he sign in the early period? I agree he is a long shot but who knows what can happen after you get a kid on campus.

yeah i know he doesn't need help coaching. i meant the hire would be for recruiting purposes. if they hire a LB coach for recruiting purposes, I'd be all for that as well brother

No he really is not. As I have mentioned before my buddy that is a coach in the STL area and has coached against him will tell you he is overrated. Doesn't really matter it will be Mizzou or OU.

the 247 article on him visiting that i mentioned yesterday stated he didn't sign cause he wanted his whole family to be there and his mom was in california. the article stated there was a money issue. so we will see. i firmly believe 95% of kids who don't sign in Dec but have committed to a school are still open to other schools and are seeing how things play out
