Kelvin Harris says “a couple” of coaches have turned down OC position

I’m not defending Manny, but there is just about zero chance any OC has been offered anything.

At this stage of the game, they’re working back channels and reaching out to contacts to get information on different coaches.

Be wary of guys who speak in absolutes at this point of the process. You’ll see a lot of “this guy said ____ and that means ____” type of tweets and posts.

The guys talking aren’t the guys making any kind of decisions.

Enos has been fired by Manny for like a month. Brooklyndee basically posted about it. If Manny just started then he is a bigger dumbass than I imagined.

I think they need to go for an innovative mind that may need a second chance bc of non football reasons

That’s the approach I would take

Anyone watching can tell that although our scheme was **** poor the effort also wasn’t there and players looked and even admitted (jarren) they they were checked out and going through the motions.
This is what happens when players listen to the noise and quit on their coaches. Anyone watching isn’t going to want to come change the mindset that 2 head coaches haven’t been able to change.
Why would anyone risk their reputations on dudes that don’t agree with a coach and then pout and go running off to social media and family about how screwed up it is instead of just putting 100 effort on whatever the plan is.
Georgia tech was running an antiquated offense that was laughed at by everyone and they kept losing but at least their players said fck it. This is what coach wants and we’re doing it.
And now we got the portal for them to run to also.

That's why I am laughing when people making lists consisting of the A1 candidates. Majority of fans want Manny gone yet expect A1 OCs to move across the country to work for a guy that may be gone next year. We want the best and that is understandable. At this point we should be hoping for COMPETENT. What elite or up and coming OC wants to work for an HC that isn't even competent. Most unrealistic fan base in college football. Guy like Chip Long would not be ideal. Probably would **** off a majority of the fan base. I get it. Definately competent. Recruiting cred in the mid west wear we can get Olineman we need. Spread with power running game. Usually a game managing Qb. We have the best running back talent in the country. Run first offense out of the spread concepts would be great match with what we have already other than Oline. I give Manny **** for the staff he put together but have we taken a moment and thought maybe this was the best he could get BEFORE exposing himself this season? Have to wonder what he can get after the season we had.

Knowing what you know about Manny & Mangina James I can assure you, they just started their OC search...

Doubt very little if any offers at all have been made.

Agreed.

The Athletic Department has to do an extensive background check into any potential OC candidate. They don't need to know what type of system he runs but they most certainly need a track record of that person's public statements on diversity, gender equity and must have shown a desire to hire a female position coach at some point during their tenure at UM.

That's gonna take a couple weeks to shake out IMO.

I call BS. The administration is leaking this so that the fans can temper their expectations. Maybe Manny finally figured out that it's better to underpromise and overdeliver.
Wish he had figured that out before the season or after UNC. He would have still sucked, but it'd be less nauseating.

When the underwhelming hire gets rolled out, expectations will have been near zero.

Good job admin

That’s not what I said. I said they haven’t offered anyone the position.

I was told a month ago Enos was gone, so I agree that they’ve been working the back channels. Honestly, what’s coming out as rumors isn’t encouraging, but that particular tweet is highly suspect.

Some of yall just don't want to believe how much of a POS this program is right now. Who is going to leave a job and uproot their family for a job that they probably will be fired after next season. No great coach working for a good program would do that, U will either get a retread like fedora or someone unproven.
Need a young single guy that lives the old Coach O lifestyle
