Kelvin Harris says “a couple” of coaches have turned down OC position

What competent OC would want to coach at Miami? I don't know, maybe someone who has to feed their ego. It would be quite the accomplishment to put on your resume that you turned around the worst offense in College Football.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Manny was turned down by OC’s. That just shows nobody respects him especially after the stunt he pulled up in Tallahassee last year hijacking another coaches clinic. He made his bed.

Clean out the entire Hecht and let Mario build it.

I also think it hurts the job prestige, where if you don’t perform year 1, you’re out. That instability will turn off coaching prospects.
How does the poor showing of your predecessor damage the prestige of a job? Penos wasn't fired for anything other than nonperformance.

Some of yall just don't want to believe how much of a POS this program is right now. Who is going to leave a job and uproot their family for a job that they probably will be fired after next season. No great coach working for a good program would do that, U will either get a retread like fedora or someone unproven.

I would say it's a highly TOXIC football program at the moment. But then again, I could be wrong and what not. And Miami will be very FORTUNATE if Diaz makes the right OC hire, but Miami fan knows how he F'ed up the last OC hire.

The bottom line is Miami has too much going against it and it will take a 21st Century miracle just to be a legitimate Top 20 program now. Let alone a Top 5 program, again. So I suggest Miami fan gets out those prayer beads and all that.

Knows absolutely nothing. Someone else was saying Ferman reported Bobo turned down Manny a month ago. Probably where he’s getting his info.
These fools don’t even bother checking timelines before spouting off. Manure supposedly offered Bobo the job while Bobo was HC at CSU and while Penos was still the OC here.

On top of that, why the fck would anyone with half a brain believe Manure would offer the job to one of Rick’s best buddies and his protege? Especially after trashing Rick with slick comments repeatedly? Dopes.

Yeah I’m not sure who would come work for Manny that is a relevant and promising coach as an OC. We will have to get really lucky with this OC hire.
What about Ken Dorsey for OC? Not sure if he would leave the Buffalo Bills but I would offer it to him. Just a thought.

But Mario is HAPPY in beautiful green Eugene, Oregon.
