Kamalu

Just for the record...i'm really liking our chances against FSU. Jameis Winston is good, but let's see what he can do against really exotic blitz pakages and constant pressure.

The only other front 4 we will see that is in the same league as UF is unfortunately FSU. But Easley is everything we thought he would be. But we lived to fight another day. That's all that matters.

FSU doesn't have half of the DL that Florida has this year, maybe last year but not this year. I didn't see anyone that has a similar get off to Easley in the Pitt game. Our biggest focus in that game will be stopping Winston the QB. If we stop him, I think we can win.

I have watched the game twice and I did not see him in the game.

Curious: how many series did Wheeler get at Center? I saw him in there pretty early.

Did not see him much, but one thing Is for sure McDermott had a tough game.

McDermott got worked like a rented mule. Dude got OWNED. So did much of the rest of the line. I was quite disappointed by the OL play to be quite honest. At some point, we are going to have to have a discussion about Kehoe. The OL should be a strength of this team. We have some HUGE guys, with a ton of experience. They should be steam rolling people out there, and while I understand UF's front 4 are among the best in the country, we shouldnt have been getting pushed around as bad as we were.

The whole interior of the OL - Linder, Feliciano and McD got worked. Waaayy too many easy backfield penetrations up the middle. Made me real uneasy b/c Linder and Feliciano should be solid. I know UF's DL is solid but our guys need to play better.

FSU's front 4 isn't in that league.

Henderson just doesn't seem to be the guy we thought he would be either.
Dude is creeping up on bust status pretty quickly.

Don't think Kamalu got a snap against UF. Which is surprising because he played a lot against FAU and I thought he did well. He will likely get worked more into the lineup these next few weeks and have to earn his spot in the rotation. I think and hope he will. Kamalu being a player will be big for our DL moving forward as he is only a RS So

I believe they wanted a bit more experience in a game like this. Kamalu is still a big part of the plans.

He handled UF ends in passing situations. Most of the pressure and breakdowns came from the interior 3.

Agree that this is probably the toughest D we will face, but we do have to mix it up some more. Hopefully Golden and Coley get together on that - wish Fisch was still here - a couple of trick plays might have slowed down the Gator D. Jedd had them working on a trick play every week.

This is the truth.

Henderson was fine. On one stunt, he appropriately let a guy in for Linder to handle and Linder got caught looking at Easley, easy sack. Interior 3 were the issue, as well as Flowers on a couple of blitzes from the DEs.

easley owned mcdermott most of the game

Very true but to mcdermotts defense, most everyone else who plays Easley this year will get owned too

He's the best player I've seen in college football this year. That dude is a beast. He plays like a rabid dog every single play. McDermott had no chance.

Yes. One of the best I've ever seen. In a class with best we've had, I think...Sapp, Brown....what do you think?

Hard to block 7-8 guys when they know what you are going to run...it wasn't all on the oline.

And an unchanging, predictable snap count. They got off the ball right on time.

To be fair to MIAMI'S OL, florida's DL had problems with the fast tempo in the 1st quarter. When muschamp got them fired up, Coley slowed down, maybe thinking too much. He attacked the flats, needed more Quick screens, RB screens, WR drags, 2-3 step drops.
