Kam and JW are apparently leaving

kam had a bizarre year. way too many blown coverages and flubbed tackles for a player of his caliber. also dealt with injuries. i don't think he's the surefire first rounder he seemed like at the start of the season, but he'll certainly get drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round. williams....man idk. i don't know that i'd really spend anything more than a late round flier on him. the ability to be a box safety/enforcer is there but as long as he keeps playing wild and trying to shoulder check instead of actually tackle he's going to be an absolute liability in the nfl, and teams won't let him see the field.

James Williams is someone who would excel in Buffalo's current defense, play a role similar to Jordan Poyer. Deep safety on 1st but the dime backer otherwise

You are not new to this so you know how it goes. The days of holding on to a heavy contributor for four years are over. It’s a thing of the past.

If the kid is a starter or plays heavy minutes, you’re lucky if you can get two years out of him before he bounces to the league - no matter his draft stock.

Even medium contributors like a Jahfari Harvey typically only give you about two years before they hit the portal to get more PT elsewhere.

Point is, head coaches really only have about a two season threshold before a kid is either processed out, hits the portal or bolts to the league. Which makes annual recruiting that much more vital - portal just as much as high school.

You either replenish each year or you’re in trouble.

JWill had his best season by far on as far as the eye test goes.

He made stupid mistakes but the kid bled Orange and green and I love him for that. Guidry helped our entire team leaps and bounds this year. I think we’ll be okay next year with him running that side of the ball

Fsu finished the year 10-3 and returned their QB.

Miami is 7-5 and may not have a qb for the bowl game.

Kam and JW bleed orange and green would you shut the fck up and not insult them by comparing them to a nole mercenary transfer in an entirely different situation who fumbled a bag by returning.

Get your $ Kam and JW. Wish them the best and know we’ll be fine replacing them with Guidry leading the defense

6'5 225 pound Strong Safeties do not pop out but once in a blue moon.

There will be DCs who believe they can get more out of him than Manny and Guidry. Pete Carroll, especially.

Agents get a huge cut of NIL deals so they also have less incentive to mislead someone these days than the old days

I bet he is faster in the 40. 4.5-4.55 and could potentially beat Kam. I still think everyone leaving including Cohen will be disappointed in the results. Doubt we have any round 1 kids unless someone tests crazy good.

I get it, but 9/10 when kids like that come back, they are coming back because the team has something worth coming back for. The FSU kids, the Clemson DL a few years back, the Bama kids, etc

We don’t know who our QB will be next year and just went 7-5. Yeah for us fans, it would be nice, but I don’t blame them one bit. They will both be drafted and make 53 man rosters, go get your bread. Come back another season for what? What have we shown that would give them an inch of faith in us to trust that and risk injury/millions? Just my .02

Jayron Kearse’s measurables we’re 6’4 216lbs and ran a 4.62.

JW is/was very similar. Different time with different people drafting but Kearse went in round 7 FWIW.

this. we were at least 3 wins short of being close to competing. no QB that we know of and those 2 are healthy right now. if they make a roster and get drafted, enjoy the league and make a name for yourself.
