These conversations NEVER come up in any other profession.

Do people ever talk about how money hurts Big Tech programmers & engineers in the long run? Or Doctors, Lawyers, or Wall ST traders?

Money only somehow hurts Football players?

Bizarre.
Don't get distracted by some red herring arguments people make. This is very simple.

Football (most sports) is one of the rare industries that is an ENTERTAINMENT business built on TEAM COMPETITION.

To make a product with that foundation entertaining you have to have a structure to induce COMPETITIVE BALANCE.

So absolutely a cap structure is necessary. It's no surprise baseball has lost a vast majority of their viewership in the last 30 years. Nobody wants to watch the Dodgers with every good player around beat up on the Marlins who have less than a tenth of the team salary.

Sure, you'll have som ppl on message board view the topic from their emotional standpoint but you're wasting your time diving into those discussions. It's a business topic and nothing else. The concept of a salary cap is absolutely necessary to make a sport better.

Whether that affects Miami positively or negatively is not what should be the determining factor of making the sport better for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES. Red Herrings all over the place, let's drop the emotional discussions here and talk business.
