I'm from Iowa originally. Still have family close to Ames. I know all about Campbell. Man has paid his dues and earned his chops in the MAC and now at ISU. If they make a coaching change (I don't see it happening after 1 year) Campbell would be a name at the top of the list. IDK what his ambitions are as he really likes the low key Iowa environment with no coaching pressure what so ever. ISU has a fanbase that turns out even when they were winning 3 games a year. I know there's nothing to do in Iowa (believe me I know) and that like so many college towns, football is everything. However, that's the point of so many successful programs like Clemson, Penn State, etc that are king in their college town where they pack their stadium every Saturday no matter how good or bad their team is.

After his first season, fleck landed the best recruiting class in the conference which INCLUDED campbell at toledo. Then continued to do the same thing over his whole tenure there. So lets talk again about him being nowhere near the evaluator campbell is.
Dude PJ has been there 3 years first of all, plays nowhere near the comp, is at a bigger university with more resources, better tradition, and even has a better location in Minneapolis compared to Ames and just started to have success. He has proven nothing outside of the Mac and Matt has. Pj needs to prove himself.
