Just finished QB1

Could I just point out something simple?

I haven't seen the show, but I know that he left Bishop Gorman early because they would not let him graduate mid-year.

Thus, he was at another school for just one semester, and he should have been done with his primary HS requirements in 3 years.

So he did (for the most part) 4 years of HS in 3 years. Maybe he jerked off for a semester. Then he enrolled at Ohio Taint in January.

I'm not saying we should nominate him for Phi Beta Kappa, but we should give the kid a bit of respect for getting his academics accelerated.

Listen I’m not riding the kid or even disrespecting him.In fact I’m glad as **** we got him.Im just pointing out what came up on the show and how what was said kind of contradicted what was thought by some about him talking all these college courses to graduate in two years.

Maybe he can.I doubt he does but if he can it’s great for UM football

Don’t have a clue why everyone is all upset about what I posted.I don’t think any of it was negative toward the kid other than saying I didn’t think he was pre-med.If he turns out to be I will personally come on here and eat crow...happily.The world can use great doctors.

I just knew what it took for me to graduate in 3 years and I wasn’t trying to play football and I was only a few credits short of my AA when I finished HS.

I personally love the kid and I’m much happier we got him and not Hurts especially if he’s able to play.

So if anyone thinks I was trying to disrespect the kid I apologize and neg away.

QB1 marathon for my Friday night. So far so good. Wife & kids have left me alone. Nice surprise.

No wonder Fromm chased Fields out. Kid is impressive. Martell gonna get us sanctions. Lol.

I understand, you're pretty reasonable. But there are other guys who just don't like to listen, and act as if Tate's decision to enroll at UM right now is somehow proof that "they were right all along". Also, see my post about how (essentially) Tate did 4 years of HS in 3 years.

He may not be an academic genius, but he keeps his business moving along.

Fact of the matter is he was lucky to have done it at Ohio State because at Miami you're in all likelihood not getting a good chunk of those credits fro AP and dual enrollment. But again, irrelevant now. He's not graduating from Miami in spring either.

Most of this board is adamant about their opinions based in zero facts, research or experience.

We need to be praying for a waiver cause I doubt VERY seriously if Martell is graduating.

During one of the last episodes the OSU coach was asking him about his classes .One was weight Training. One was working in the office checking in late kids and the REAL hard one was a black and white photography class.

He’s wasn’t taking college prep courses and it doesn’t seem like he was even taking AP classes.

So as it’s been pointed out graduating in 2 1/2 years is difficult IF your moving credits forward from HS.Im doubting Office work and weight training are going to get you very many credits to move forward.

Family has a lawyer.Lets hope he’s doing work cause I’m betting that’s the only way he’s playing next year.

I’m pretty sure Diaz did his homework. He’s not an idiot. So let’s not treat him as such.

His football IQ & maturity impressed me a lot.

Yea I can completely understand how he now,3 years later than the show was done ,he would be able to keep Fields on the bench.kid was very poised and smart back then.3 years could only make him better.

You guys do realize QB1 was three years ago. I haven’t heard a negative word about him at OSU. Matter of fact, he only needs two semesters to get his degree!

this ... unless ohio state was giving away credits they guy has taken care of business in the classroom ... also, i think he realizes the opportunity

I'd wager 85% of this board are not college grads, but more likely to have a loud and strong opinion about graduating college.
I have to believe way more people are college grads on here then 15% . I am and I have known 2 people to graduate in 2.5 years. It can be done with hard work. I thought it seemed unlikely a football player would be able to do it but you can especially if you take college credit courses in HS like I did . I graduated in 3.5 which is becoming more and more common.

It has A LOT to do with the credits you get in HS and if the University you attend accepts them. I had a good few credits that Miami would not take.

Andy Katzenmoyer took three classes the summer before his last season at OSU: Golf 1, Music 140 and AIDS: What Every College Student Should Know. Tate might get a BA in BS.

Miami is tough on AP credits. Especially credits for courses in your major field- maths, sciences. They have gotten harder over the past 6 years- I know from experience and two kids in school at UM....
