Just a total indictment on the coaching and recruiting going on in coral gables.

We currently have the #17 class for 2020 and the #1 class for 2021.

Can someone let OP know before he flies a banner about our recruiting?
You are so dumb! I mean you almost beyond saving! News flash dip$hit, we always have the number one recruiting class 2 years out. Smh and then de commit season starts and we’re left with our di<ks in our hands. I mean how blind are because these are facts! 2 years out =#1 class, 1 year out = top 10, 6 months out= top 15, signing day = somewhere between in the 20s and top 20 if we’re lucky outside of a few outliers in 2008, 2018 and one of goldens classes. I mean holy$Hit dude, what program and recruiting have you been watching the last 15 years because it sure as **** isnt ours! Smh

UF had a disastrous OL during the Muschamp and McElwain years. In Mullen's first year, their OL looks massively more efficient. Most of the OL prospects we have were widely recruited. If you look at game film, you'll often times see that most of our linemen allow sacks because they don't know how to communicate with one another or are fundamentally weak. That's coaching.

Much of it is communication. That was really obvious against Tech.

Your title is an indictment of current recruiting. It’s pointed out to you that today, not last year, not 15 years ago, today, we are doing very well recruiting.

Your rebuttal is well they’re all going to decommit later because they always have before.

Do you even hear yourself?

So let me get this straight, you call a #17/18 recruiting class that has been steadily falling down the rankings since the end of spring a good recruiting class and you are ok with that level of recruiting here? And even worse you actually consider that good recruiting?! 🤢🤮 Lmao you are definitely the king of homers, slurpers and sunshine pumpers my friend. I wonder what spin you’ll put on the class that’s was once #1 in the nation once upon a time and is now in the top 25 if we’re lucky this coming national signing day? I look forward to your porst then. They must have finally gotten tired your nonsense over at Canespace and threw you out huh? I need to write 86cane and plead with him to take you back so we don’t have to suffer through your fantasy land porsts here. Lol

#Coaching! The sooner we get rid of Blake James and manny the better.

So what makes it crap in your eyes? Just curious, been there and it looks like your typical city campus. Bars, shops, and restaurants all around it.
No color (every building has the same look. Lack of pressured clean brick walls, and a bunch of ******** as fans. I've been to tons of away games and in my opinion it comes in last as a destination.

We had the # 1 ranked 2020 class at this time last year if I'm not mistaken.
Yep! but posters like @Go Canes!! Thinks that our annual fall from #1 class a year or two out is only something that happened in the past. And it didnt happen this year to dá gawd Diaz and that Diaz is doing a really good job recruiting what is the 17th or 18th recruiting class that is steadily fall on its face down the rankings! Lol in that porsters eyes everything is hunky dory in coral gables. Lol the dudes insufferable.

I find myself in the sad state of watching CanesFreak2001 YouTube Videos for the last few years to get my good Canes fix and wondering if we will ever get back. How could this have happened?

Ironic that Miami and USC are in the same boat as they are very similar institutions in a big event town.

No my guy, we're not remotely in the same boat. In the last 10 years, USC have won 10+ games 3x. They have played in 2 NY6 bowl games and won one. They have won 4 bowl games, total, and have won their conference in the last 3 years.

They are on the verge of hiring a competent AD and are about to go full monty on Urban Meyers.

I wish we were on this path.

Are we back on the recruiting crap, i like reading barry jackjson's articles, but somewhere along the lines his approach to UM has changed. This particular article he wrote has no balance, when people start talking about "guys needing to out play their rankings" than he should do another article on guys that are not playing up to their nerd recruiting site rankings!

Its manny's 1st year, the first time headcoaching mistakes have been very obvious thus far, he's knows where the program should be, can he create the environment that'll help us get their. Him changing the commitment approach is going to help.

Our secondary is starting to get better by the week, dj ivey should only get better, he got passes completed against him, but his technique and everything else was their, on that outside zone bust, i dont know how he let that happen, their was no need for him to veer off to the other reveiver. Other than that, the secondary played tough, battled all game long, and the d-line continues to squash running games. Coach richt left this team in a very good spot talent wise, what coach diaz is getting ready to have is another qb battle, he went with the wrong qb out the gate, his boy jw15 doesnt bring that will to win. If coach diaz wants to leave his fate in the hands of one of the none loyal to the core qb's in jarren, instead of going with a proven winner, even coach diaz knows that:

Coach diaz on perry:
It lets us know what we have been saying all along—that we can win some games with N’Kosi,” Diaz said. “N’Kosi just beat the 20th ranked team in the country and the week before he led a 28 point comeback. Last year, he led a comeback against Florida State. He has done some things on his resume that are impressive.”

LOL, if you know and knew all that, why go with the MEAC & MAC winner only!

Short answer NO<> he does not.....hear very well....

We have 12 de-commitments, 10 of em' were 4*s, we replaced em' with 3*s...we have officially become everybody else in the ACC except Clemson & FSU.

Again, how is this an "indictment" on the current staff. Welcome to the state of the program for 15 years now and the sh1tshow the Canes will deal with as today's best players are front-runners who want to join immediate contenders, instead of wanting to be a part of some hometown rebuild. The game has changed and long gone are the Edgerrin James-type talents who are willing to sign-up for a few rough seasons, with the end goal of some 9-3 type seasons setting the stage for the program to come back AFTER that first wave of those 'rebuild' guys are gone.

You need great players to win—but you're not going to get those great players unless you're winning. That's an indictment on the type of kids playing today, opposed to a knock on the program or staff.

Diaz (or any coach at Miami) will have to find a way to start winning with that he / they have, while using the Transfer Portal to their advantage and getting the most out of the kids on the staff. The top-tier 5-star kids are going to keep going to Tuscaloosa, Athens, Baton Rouge and Clemson until Miami is a legit ACC threat. Period.

Great players to win the coastal?

Hometown rebuild?

Front runners?

The players have eyes.

They know bullshyt when they see it.

Most fans want guys who will sign here regardless of whatever bullshyt our coaches pull out their ***.

These kids are WAYYYYYY more savvy than many of y’all want to give them credit for.

We have been blessed that some talented kids love the mystique of the U enough to sign anyway. The further we get away from the 2001 team, the less we can sucker high end recruits into signing up for this incompetent **** show.

The entitlement in your post is disturbing and is the type of mindset that got Miami in this mess.

Lmao! We will have a ton of kids bail before signing day. Same **** every year.

If I remember correctly J. J. recruiting classes weren't exactly top ten : What probably kill us
Coker just being a caretaker, not H.C. material ( Thanks Donna).
Shapiro disaster that just went on and on, then probation that has kept us at around 70 players,
Plus players that were late round material leaving early, while Clemson keeps intact 4 no 1 defensive linemen:
Manny, based on our last Bowl game has really step up with the portal, hate to see this team if it wasn't for all the personnel moves made by Manny
