Junior QB Tyree Jackson transfer from University of Buffalo

To look for another transfer QB is saying we can't even coach four star
QB's we have in Perry and Williams so we need to try another. It like we used
to do when we played Tiddly Winks, when we lost ask for new board!

if you want a good qb, make sure he is already accurate and has pretty good decision making. This is a strategy from Mike Leach and it obviously works. It's quite simple.
Yep. One of Rickety’s many failings is he falls in love with inaccurate QB prospects. He evaluates QBs like a dopey fan instead of a football guy.

This program has hit rock bottom. Imagine thinking after year 3 we’d be fighting over a Buffalo QB transfer. What a sad state of affairs.
This is NOT rock bottom. 2019 is coming. 2-10.

Problem is he had more wr talent at buff then he will have here sad but true

He had Rodney Scott a kid we dropped cold turkey in their wr rotation. He did have some wr talent in Osbourn and Johnson though i admit. Those guys likely make nfl rosters

All 3 of UM's young QBs missed games due to suspensions this season. As much criticism as Richt gets deservedly so, the lack of leadership and maturity among the QB group really hurt UM this season. UM has nothing to lose by kicking the tires on TJ. We have no depth at the position and questions remain about the commitment and ability of all of UM's young QBs.

Great theory. Wish more coaches would think this way...

Does it strike you as odd that this also happens to be Jon Richt's position group? Hard to instill leadership when the guy leading them has no idea what he's doing and everyone knows he got the job solely because his dad's the head coach.

The results speak for themselves. A QB room defined by immaturity, selfishness, suspensions and absence of leadership. As you suggested this speaks to John Richt's effectiveness as a coach. Clearly, he's in over his head.

These guys don’t get it. They think a bunch of 18 year olds don’t need any adult guidance and direction. Why even have a QB coach if it doesn’t matter?

Now they’re looking to drop a 55% MAC passer in here who badly needs more development and coaching and act like he’s going to succeed here with these bags of ***** coaching him just because he’s not one of the guys already being ruined by these **** coaches. Where’s the logic and thinking there?

You brought up an interesting point the other day regarding Rosier. I've been critical about him, but his best game against Duke on the road was when he was a RS Fr. This was under James Coley who has no pedigree as a QB coach. Richt was supposed to be a QB expert, a guy who developed Shockley, Murray and Stafford (at least that's what pro-Richt guys keep telling me). But he's been getting worst in every game under Richt's era. Perry started looking really good at the beginning of the year and was a guy that I thought could be the starter for a year or two and had me hyped about how good Jarren Williams could be. But Perry as well got worst over time, and an expedited rate. Same thing's going to happen to JW that has happened to Rosier and Perry. This kid from Buffalo may or may not be a decent QB with the right coaching. Problem is, we don't offer the latter in that department.

UM's QBs as a whole were among the worst performing units on and off the field. The coaches inexplicably felt not bringing in a QB in the 2019 class will make Perry, Williams and Weldon more committed. When Richt put his staff together the one thing that stood out was a lack of coaching experience.
